Does bans/account stuff transfer to other people on steam?
This was ask by one of my friends which i can not answer because i simply do not know. The reason im asking is cuz my friends dont trust this site 100% cuz of some stuff. 2 of my friends (lets called them a and b for reference) are using family share on steam cuz 1 of them wants to try out some games to see if its worth getting them or not (a). Before they had family share b got banned on dead by daylight for using a special program that allowed him to find specific matches like the ones with youtuber and streamers in it and to end games fast and get a lot of xp from it, a as well owns the game but has no dlc or any bans, b has a ban and all the dlc. A question is does he receive all b stuff like dlc and ban, or none of it or just some of it like he can still use the dlc stuff?
Thank you in advance for answering this question

It works like this, as @SilentSpectre said, if it's a HWID Ban than it'll transfer to every new account you make on THAT PC, if they find out you're on other PC's than you'll be banned for Ban Evasion as well...
If it's a one time ban through EAC than no, it'll not transfer to any accounts that were made before or after that ban... it'll only be for THAT account you were banned on.
However, if you get banned again on 2 more separate accounts with the same IP and Hardware... than you'll be HWID banned. Each time you're banned you're given a strike on your Hardware, this is to keep track of rule breakers who have a history of breaking BHVRs game rules...
VAC bans are a different beast, it's Valves jurisdiction if you got banned through VAC. The thing is, DBD isn't a Valve game... so it's highly unlikely or even impossible that you'll be banned through Valves Anti-Cheat systems... or VAC for short. (This goes for DBD, if it's a Valve made game than VAC bans can happen.)

Yes, bans continue through Steam family share, as well as on completely new accounts if it's a HWID ban.

Sorry but what is a HWID ban?

HardWare IDentification ban -- basically, the whole computer is banned from the game, even if they get a new account/copy/user ID.

Okay what if it isnt a HWID ban, like for example a ban by the devs or a vac ban will that transfer or not?

Yes, if a specific steam account is banned, any family share to/from that account will also be banned.
