Title Edit: We need to buff some killers...
They need BUFFS, not nerfs! Please look downwards, some killers desperatelly need love! Legion, Doctor, Pig, Clown... I almost never see them in purple and red ranks...
Edit: Don't get me wrong, I play both survivor and killer the same amount of time, for me, AS A SURVIVOR, Spirit was fun and counterable, forever Freddy gives me a challenge, and Nurse was pretty cool to play against even when she owned the full team, now, AS KILLER, I was ok with the insta heals, brand new parts, etc. they were part of the game and only purple and red ranks knew how to properly give a challenge with them.
I only want to see more variety of killers in red ranks (XBOX), right now it's always a Spirit, Freddy, Billie and an ocasional Myers, I don't want to have to de-rank in order to play against other killers being controlled by noobs...

I don't know Peanits, it started with Nurse, then Spirit, and maybe I got myself missunderstood, I don't mean that there's people who wanna nerf every killer, but every time you guys nerf something they see the chance and ask for more and more, I really hope no other killer gets nerfed, more like reworks or buffs for unloved and practically unseen killers at purple and red ranks.
I do get that you guys call the shots, but I really don't wanna see any change to Freddy, this post is merely for fun

Both roles get nerfs, and you complain about two when the other side had many more, and call that survivor crying? Do you think devs do something just for a few forum posts instead of having a look in their balance database?
BTW you contradiction is very clear between the title and your post description:

Nope, I do not think they do so because of forums but because people get the attention to something, they check it and then try to balance it, ask any of the community players, even go to polls, even with all the changes, the feeling is that this game is survivor favoured.

I rarely see someone call killers in general too powerful, only certain ones. So I’m gonna agree with Peanits.

What is also important is the why in things that need to be changed.
It’s easy just to call out the devs for nerfing something but if you’ve been following you know they aren’t nerfing something for no reason.

Freddy just recently got buffed from D tier to A tier. Ghostface was hilariously bad in his PTB and I'd put him in the top 5 or 6. We can even go back to Hag on release. Remember how bad she was? You could make a cup of coffee while she set a trap. Doctor is next on the rework list. I think the Nurse didn't need a cooldown on her base kit, and I think Spirit's issues are more add on related, but if we're being objective, killers have been buffed just as much, if not more than they've been nerfed at an individual level.

Good sir... what killers are viable for purple and red ranks? Is there like... A tendency towards who you face there? Or do you see all kinds of killers? Ahm... I don't know about you, Red Ranks and Purple ranks, as an XBOX player, are filled with Spirit, Freddy and Nurse.

Why don't killers play as other characters? Cause they feel they don't stand a chance against those suvivors.
Why not buff other killers for them to be red rank material? Why nerf Spirit and not make it so that people decide to play as other killers? I can't remember the last time I played Doctor, Pig, etc.
We don't know the reasons why Devs make changes to anything, they don't post statistics or justifications, they're all speculations.
"Spirit was over performing" ok, what's "overperforming"? what's considered balance? a 2k average? Or are the Devs trying to please more the "having fun" than an actual killcount balance? I guess we won't know, at least for now.

I'm honestly surprised they haven't gotten around to just giving a hotfix to freddy. Him keeping bloodlust even after using his power is super weird.

I suppose that's one way to look at it. I, for one, remember loads of moonwalking Legions or Frank's Mix Tapes being used to down someone with no counterplay, making it very unenjoyable to go against. I also recall Freddy being way too good at slugging since you had to wake someone up before being able to heal them.
It's important to remember why things were changed, not just that they were changed.

Ok I get it but legion is in a horrible state right now and you guys aren’t even changing their button add ons like you said. When will legion be valuable again?

I think what they were getting at, was more about killers that need some attention and improvements not getting any, while other killers are being nerfed frequently.
Not saying that is my opinion, just expressing that is their main concern it sounds like.

I don't want moonwalking legion back but I want to be able to play them without it just feeling like a drag, high risk for low reward.

That may be the case on Xbox, but on PC you can easily see Clowns, Pigs, and even Wraiths in red ranks. Yesterday alone I faced a Demo, Wraith, Clown, Michael. No Spirits or Freddies.
You know why? Because those players are confident in themselves that they don't need an overpowered killer to win and also want to have fun.
We do know why devs make adjustments and changes, they often share it with us, you must not be following and reading the reasoning or maybe you don't like their reasoning and thats fine. Just don't sit there and say "We don't know any reasons why devs change anything"... when in fact you do, you just don't want to accept it.

I think the problem is not that you can't strike a balance when nerfing a character, which is pretty terrible on itself.
The issue is the time it takes for the team to acknowledge they fkd up and then fix the character.
How long did it take to rework Freddy? How long will it take to rework Legion?
How long will it take to buff the majority of the killers roster that is rotting in oblivion?
1 year, maybe 2? You guys are really resting your audience patience.

One was an exploit, not true character power. The other was not really much faster than an average chase.
So instead of fixing the exploit and slightly nerfing the strong part of an otherwise weak killer, you just kick him to the ground. And then you wonder why people don't trust you guys with game balance.

I dunno about you but I see a lot of people in purple or higher playing killers that aren't Freddy, Nurse, Spirit, or Billy. A lot of streamers also play a lot of killers at higher ranks and seem to do just fine.

The problem isnt just something simple like killers or survivors being op. Its that survive with friends is insanely powerful co ordinating against a killer if you are being really good there isnt much a killer can do.
I faced trouble just today because of the tome challenge to drop pallets people were dropping them instantly they had what felt like millions of them and i had to hook in the basement with 3 people body blocking anytime i picked someone up.

spirit - collision removal, some add on changes were all that was needed.
survivors are the power role in dbd unless you hard proxy survivors off hook. Gens are repaired way too fast.

While i agree there has been some buffs to killers and nerfs to survivors, it still feels overall like survivors are in the power role against killers overall, and BHVR continues to nerf killers who are powerful, closer to where they should be, while barely buffing those who are weak. Or in some cases (poor legion) nerfing them into oblivion when they wern't that powerful in the first place, just annoying. There is also the fact that nerfs seem to come much quicker then buffs ever do; while really I feel like for a balanced game they should take the same measure, care, and testing as each other. Thats really all I want to see. I would also like to see some buffs to killer perks to bring them up to the power of survivor perks, as I feel they are on the higher end of that scale and that there are more viable or at least usable perks. Some killer perks are never seen because they are frankly useless (Hey there beast of prey).

i agree with you 100%. One of my forums are on a legion rework and think that weaker killers need a buff so that there will be more killer diversity in red ranks.

It started with nurse and spirit at the same time. Nurse was just a much bigger issue. Now both problems are solved

What buffs? The only thing that they need to do it nerf gen rushing. Spirit and nurse NEEDED change. On red ranks all I see is nurse, spirit, Freddy. Boring! Stop crying and start learning how to play as other killers. Doctor is very good, pig is also good. You just have to know how to play as them.

I read lots of drivel on these forums, that's got to be one of the best! So let me get this straight, the game is biased towards survivors, where the killer moves faster, has a power v survivors that need to play well to escape a chase? Just because you're bad at killing, doesn't mean the game is survivor biased. Lots of nurfs happen to survivors, insta heals, DS, MoM, window/vault blocking..... the list is endless.
Bhvr have the data, if the data points to an issue, then they resolve it to make things balanced for either side. Just because you feel something, doesn't make it real

Ah yes, the usual survivor tactic of listing things that've been nerfed on their side, without contemplating that maybe there's a fundamental difference of power in these nerfs. Survivor nerfs are usually of things that break the game. Pink insta was imbalanced to hell, and purple was a power even change or even a buff in some circumstances, DS was insanely strong and even now is a 1 minute safety window where the killer doesn't want to interact with you, MoM was just busted, window/vault blocking was as well, and most of the "endless list" is exploits or insanely overpowered things survivors had.
So yes, survivors get nerfed too, but it's still not balanced because the starting point was so bloody imbalanced in the favour of survivors. And it still is, seeing as survivors can chain safe loop into safe loop into jungle gym into safe loop for minutes on end, while the rest of the team can finish all 5 gens in around 3 minutes.

I'm pretty sure the next one on the "unfun" train is either Freddy, Huntress or Plague. Spirit was fine for almost a year.

So we apply that we logic to killer nurfs. They have something broken, bhvr fixes it. Easy really ?
Survivors doing gens in 3 mins ONLY happens v a potato killer and is so rare, it has NEVER happened to me as a killer or survivor. In the same way killers can end games with 4 players on hooks in around the same time, but that's cool huh?

I mean, find anything that's actually game breaking. I can tell you, there was the Legion moonwalking exploit and Nurse on release. So an exploit, which was fixed, and a single actually broken killer, back when survs still had true infinites, no window blocker and a miriad of other busted stuff. So no, you can't apply the same logic.
Survivors doing gens in 3 minutes is indeed a top end outlier, but is dependent on survivors more than killers. Here's the core problem of DBD, killers don't really get any skill expression outside of playing Nurse, post-nerf only if you have two power recharge addons, and Spirit. The game hinges on the relative skill level of Killer to survivor, and if the skill level is equal or in the favour of survivors then Killers don't really get to play the game and are relegated to a haunted house attraction that sometimes pops out from around a corner. That is to say, they're ultimately not a threat and something for survivors to laugh at.

All of which you listed took the team over 2 years to do and then most of the maps and etc.... are still in the game that are problematic, haddonfield, ironworks, farm... they buffed medkits they did not nerf them.... the syringes are still very useful and much more fun to use and go against.. litterally nothing you listed is a nerf
