Hatch change idea
I would take back the original change they wanted to do (Killers being able to close it, and survivor to activate it again, must do a gen) but this time, since it's very difficult to complete a gen when you are alone, especially if that gen is 0%, make it so to complete it, it takes 30-40 seconds (can be decreased with Left Behind as well) and the gen can't be regressed by the killer. I don't think is difficult to complete a gen that can't even be regressed anymore in 30-40 seconds when the killer is looking elsewhere on the map, is it? And ofc, to avoid the standoff, if they both get to the hatch at the same time, the killer can close it, deleting the survivor escape attempt.

They should delete it, I do not see a free win for the killer, when he ######### up his match, so survs should not be rewarded for bad plays too, especially when in the current state of the game making only 2 gens for the whole match should instantly put you back in R20.

Since Survivors say NOED reward bad gameplay, the hatch should become a perk.

Or let the killers themselves just close the hatch.
First one there wins.0 -
I was actually excited to play as survivor when they introduce the idea of having the killer close the hatch. I felt it would have made the game even more fun and scary. I wish they just go back to the original idea.
Also if I am the last survivor standing and the hatch is open then personally I do not care if I die or escape because I at least safety pip or pip by this point.
Side note: Correct me if I am wrong but doesn’t the hatch spawn in after 2 generators? If I know the killer can close the hatch then as a survivor I would find the hatch just so I know where it is located if I am the last survivor0 -

They can’t take their sweet ass time and waste an hour of the other players time.

Everyone would use it whatsoever, almost every game but at least it's not completely guaranteed. Then ofc you'd need a better balance even if it existed through a perk or an offering, but it's an idea xD

The hatch spawns as closed when there are either just 2 survivors left and at least 2 gens done, or when there is 1 or 0 gens left whatsoever, no matter how many survivors are left. But if, for example, 3 survivors are left and 2 gens are missing, it doesn't spawn. Anyway yes, if the killer can track down the hatch slugging one of the 2 guys left, then so can the survivors, but they are lazy and entitled.
