Let's discuss plague

I fail to see what she actually has going for her.

As of now I can't see the killer that is actually worse then her.

So from I see:

  • Abyssmal early game
  • Delayed puke thanks to dedicated servers
  • No actual useful power even if survivors cleansed before the last gen is popped(they have a freebie)

From what I see, the oni is in every possible way better killer then her.

Even trapper has more potential then her and that is sad.

Plague got huge potential to be insane. But smart survivors can control her power and that's not good at all.

I see a lot of killers who are worse than her. She is either a Infinite Evil Within Myers which counters all stealth and healing perks and items or a Huntress on steroids. She has insane add-ons and has very good stall and snow ball potential with the right build.

She isn't that bad. I would like if they added a small penalty to survivor action speed if they are sick and broken. Around 10% seems fair. That might encourage them to not ignore healing fountains.

Plague's at her best when slugging, which people find to be boring. She has potential to snowball much like Myers, but she can be looped just as easily. Her corrupt purge is arguably the best offensive power in the game. Survivors of course dictate if she gets to use this power, but she has addons that can give her one anyway. I can't really say if she's balanced or not. Her strength is there, but it often isn't enough to compete with gen speeds.

Plague is just super flawed in design. She's not incredibly overpowered, but her power is very "damned if you do, damned if you don't" on both sides. Survivors cleanse and they get downed really quickly by an easy to aim projectile. If they don't and they aren't good, Plague has easy tracking and constant one-shots all games. If Survivors ARE good though, they don't have to cleanse at all, and they'll completely demolish Plague by making her power useless.

I honest to god hope she gets a rework eventually. I wouldn't call her healthy for the game at all. (Y'getit, cause she spreads sickness, haha 😜)

Ok, so we have killer that MAY get survivors sick if she finds them and they can't loop(which doesn't happen) and even if they somehow get sick before the game is half way done we have a killer that doesn't have power in chase.

Survivors don't cleanse and they don't need to hide. Most loops are safe on most maps so all they have to do when found is to run the loop as per usual and drop the pallet earlier.

I've played a LOT of Plague, and I have to say the most frustrating part of her right now is dedicated servers. Puke falls onto survivor. Survivor grunts and waves their arms around. Survivor runs away, still not infected.

Things as fundamental to a killer's power as this need to be more reliant on what is on the killer's screen, over what is on the survivors'.

The worst thing about plague is that her deviousness and chase points are broken due to the nature of her power.

Otherwise she's incredibly solid. I think people who don't play plague don't quite realise how tactical she can be- I find her a tonne more fun than any of the killers who just loop and nothing else (clown, wraith) or the ones who's wins are handed to them by using their power (spirit and insta hillbilly).

Someone else mentioned that the main thing is to get people sick as fast as possible and this is 100% true- getting a tiny bit of puke on someone is much easier than hitting them twice and changing targets in the early game is very disruptive. As long as you got everyone sick and they choose not to heal, you're now in a game in which stealth is impossible (people underestimate it, but the green clouds and puke noises are so so good for tracking) and everyone is exposed--saves can become snowballs, chases are half as long and with decent stakcs of STBFL, multiple survivors sharing a gen assures multiple downs. The game is more fun when she has access to corrupt purge, but she doesn't need it to be fun.

I have to say, any comparison to the oni is completely facile as... I mean their powers are very different and he's not even out. Not spoil anything for you, but he's definitely going to play differently on release--I would be shocked if he went live with his current kit. Anyway- if his style of gameplay suits you more that's fine but there are a fair few people out there who enjoy the plague and can really make her work.

    Plague is a bad killer.

Survivors do control her power. Should you not cleanse against plague? No you can cleanse against plague and give her the full power but the thing is that you can exactly chose where you give her that power.

So if the killer is willing to give up on pressuring survivors, protecting gens in order to have his power fine so be it. Meanwhile we have people working on gens and a survivor gets a full heal. By the time she comes back to the gens it mostly is a gen done or close to be done. Don't see her being strong at all.
