Is this trap placement an exploit and if so should it be fixed?

I don't think you can get past it without disabling it first (unless you have dead hard, which is useless with the dedicated servers) which will make escaping the basement nearly impossible. I think this should be fixed.

    Not necessarily preventing trap placement there but removing the railing on the right.

    You sure you can't shimmy past it on the right? Seems like you have the space.

    There are several spots on many maps that have a single passage entrance/exit where a trap completely blocks the area and must be disabled before passing. Is there something different/glitched about this one?

    If not, just disable it. This is intended and not a bug.

    @driesth

    No, it isn't. The game has plenty of trap spots that prevent you from getting past UNLESS the trap is disarmed

    The Shack has literally 3 spots to trap, that's it... 3 spots and you'll 90% of the time get trapped leaving the basement. The upstairs of that same house "The Thompson house" has only 1 way out.

    Trap it, and they can't escape unless they get trapped by it OR trigger the trap. The same thing can be said for that locker above me being trapped.

    These are not exploits, since they can be triggered and disarmed by Survivors... they're just harder to get around is all.

    Unlikely considering there are many places on different maps that can't be accessed without disarming if he's trapped them properly.

    Killer shack can always be locked down with 3 traps making basement trapper pretty dangerous if it's there. Heck, basement trapper is pretty dangerous on almost any map depending on the location and this situation here requires this map and the basement to be there for it to work.

    In-general, these 1 trap areas are just beneficial to Trapper. But they can be disarmed... so that's why they're not an exploit.

    If say, you couldn't disarm traps and had literally no way to escape than yes or would be... but no, you can disarm them so it's NOT an exploit.

    Sorry, I might have worded that a bit weird but I was agreeing that it's not an exploit as there are plenty of locations that can be locked down and subsequently disarmed. ^_^

    I was also agreeing with that statement though...

    In-general, trapper is how he is, the fact you can disarm traps is why this isn't an exploit from the get go.
