Can you fix ghost face stalk...

I dont enjoy getting exposed while I am looking directly at him for 2 seconds 3 consecutive times in row.

Though I have noticed a couple times lately when I play survivor that I SOMEHOW get exposed after breaking the Ghostface out of cloak through his stalk. And I'm not talking recently broken out but multiple seconds having broken out.

It's latency and happens both ways. The amount of times you break line of sight and still get revealed seconds later is very often.

Comparing Survivor opinion to Killer opinion leads to nothing getting done and the problem being dismissed as nothing serious.

I play both and it seems more broken as Survivor because I've been in the same position myself. Playing as GhostFace he is fair, the stalks are genuine stalks on people I see at the exact time I see them. This leads me to believe it's just a latency issue which hopefully is working out ok for some people on dedicated servers, on Console it's still a pretty noticeable problem that makes GhostFace unfun to play against.

Comparing survivor opinion to killer opinion is what gets the Devs to change something and try to balance it... They try to listen to both sides... ALWAYS

Comparing Survivor 'problems' to the killer equivalent makes that particular thing go untouched and not looked at for a while.

Survivors: "Spirit is OP, needs nerf"

Killers: "Spirit is fine, just get good"

Devs: "We'll study the problem and see what we can do for both sides"

    *Spirit gets changes

    Killers: "Insta heals are OP"

Survivors: "Insta Heals are fine, just bring in Franklin's or get good"

Devs: "We'll study the problem and see what we can do for both sides"

    *Insta heals gets changes

    I don't see why:

Killers: "GF gets revealed really easily"

Survivors: "GF is really hard to reveal"

    Won't lead to:

Devs: "We'll study the problem and see what we can do for both sides"

    *GF gets changes

I play both killer and survivor, and spirit changes wont change that much.

I want them to buff syringe so that if you use it on someone who is in dying state its actually instant (one state).

GF will get changes regardless, but the situation i am talking about is i have him on my screen for solid 8 seconds and almost got him out of stalk 3 times

It's much worse because I get stalked through walls to the other side of the map. Servers are just trash atm. Pointless fast vault hits 3m away from the window, 5m wide hatchet hitboxes. Instead of fixing those things, high ping killers got even more advantage than it already was on P2P which makes no sense at all. Get BHVRed forever.

That logic is what leads to nerfs of killers who don't warrant one. Instead of saying something is too hard to do, opinions shouldn't be phrased to belittle the killer/Survivor role like "obvious bad killer wants buffing wahhh" or "crybaby survivor depends on this crutch".

Like all this complaining can lead to 3 things, connection stability which would fix the latency problem, nerf ghostface, or rework GhostFace so he doesn't get as much from stalking Survivors.

Dude, one change at a time. It's Freddy's turn to get nerfed and then it's Ghostface's.

Be patient. Survivors won't let him remain untouched

OP didn't ask for any nerfs but a fix for Ghostface's reveal mechanic which is indeed broken.

I mean i'm aware you're just trolling like in most threads about killers but still.

Idk if you've played against him as a survivor but many times when i'd just run into him he'd never get revealed or easily revealed when he was actually trying to remain hidden to prevent survivors from revealing him. It's just a buggy mess.

If there was a gamebreaking bug that killers benefitted from, it would be completely fine for you to not get fixed, right?

I have noticed this but it rarely happens, maybe because I'm on PS4. Are you sure it is not a dedicated servers issue?

  • Member Posts: 674

Not sure, but definitely could be. Servers messed up a lot of things.

    Freddy doesn't need a change

because his power only works while you are asleep, you need to wake up

His teleportation isn't even the best either

No, I’m on PS4 as well and gf reveal mechanic is bugged.

if your character is somehow in the middle of the screen, covering gf, you won’t reveal him.

in other words, the nearer he is, the more difficult it is to reveal, since your character will obstruct the view of gf.

they should simply remove collision with the player in their raytracing, or whatever method they use.

It's the same problem as Huntress. It's not broken for either side; it's just broken. It's not fun for either side as a result.

But if they haven't fixed Huntress hitboxes in 2 years they aren't going to fix Ghostface.

A neat thing I learned from Int3r4ct's video's: your character's model blocks vision as much as anything else so if he's too close you may not actually "see" him.

Yea im a killer main and when i play survivor i will litterally stare at ghost face and it will make the noise that im exposing him and stop at the last second without either of us even moving and then I get exposed. Definitely extremely broken and unfun to play against.
