Remove loud noise notifications from the gates when they are powered
Why would you add them? The only thing it does is distracts you and obscures the screen.

I hate this! It is so distracting. The gates light up and everything to show they're powered, the only thing the noise notification does is cause confusion and annoyance.

Honestly, makes no sense whatsoever as to why they added noise notifications. And have yet to address the new basement glitch... lol

Joining the bandwagon here. I pulled away from a survivor thinking they failed a healing check next to gates. I don't think anyone asked for this, honestly...

There is already an auditory and visual notification the exit gates are powered, being the sirens and power boxes respectively. The LNN is so pointless it has to be a bug.

It’s literally the dumbest addition I’ve seen in this game in a while.

I haven't played enough since the update to have experienced this. Can someone enlighten me? Is this a survivor thing or a killer thing?

as a killer, when the gates power up now there is a noise explosion behind the gate as if someone fastvaulted something / failed a skillcheck.
its distracting to say the least.

Like... when the last generator is completed, or when the gate is opened?

Sounds like a bug, I sure hope it is!

when the last gen has been completed, the usual exit gate noise will play, the switches will be highlighted and shown to you and now, assitionally to that, both gates will have a loud "skillcheck failed" explosion.
the worst thing is, its not even on the switch, its literally behind it somewhere between the pillars, so i always get distracted by it and think someone is there, trying to open the gate... ive dropped chases for that -.-

i sure hope so too...

That's... very odd. And very unncessary, by the sounds of it. Those explosions are already overused as it is, in my opinion. It makes things unnecessarily difficult for new players.
My brother is trying to learn killer at the moment, and I've been watching so I can give him some tips while he plays. I'm constantly having to tell him "that was an unhook" or "that was a skill check fail" or "that was a vault" or "that was someone stepping in a trap" etc. because he doesn't have the game knowledge yet to be able to easily tell the difference, and the ambiguity affects the decisions he makes and how he plays.
Something like this is going to make it even more needlessly difficult not only for veteran players but also for people like him who are trying to learn the game.
