Recently, The Legion got yet another Rebalance Patch. The patch itself managed to remove the abusable Legion Playstyle that made them a weird balancing problem for more than a year now. But the core problem is still there, Legion lacks chase potential even tho their power has all these chase aspects to it that feel like they were designed to shorten chases. Which is why i put my attempt on reworking Legion to make their power more lethal in chases, while not making it an absolutely-no-counter Legion.

The Rework is aimed on making Legion more opressive against survivors that think they're safe while injured while also not making healthy survivors The Legion just found completely hopeless due to Deep Wound / Injured separation. This forces Survivors to heal themselves which gives The Legion more Map Pressure and Generator Slow Down while also not touching Deep Wound status effect.

I also added a Special Ability called Pure Agility that should improve Legion's chase potential since as you'll see, they are 4.4 again. The ability itself makes The Legion have chase potention while both in and out of Frenzy. It also makes The Legion 'ignore' pallet as it seems to be common theme for killers that are slower than 4.6m/s by default.

The Legion

4.4m/s or 110%, 24m, Average , 110% Legion more like 2.4.0 PTSD

Power

A band of merciless killers ready to attack their pray at any given moment, inflicting deadly injures and striking down anyone who is trying to play overly bold.

Feral Frenzy

The Legion has a power gauge that builds up over time. Once the gauge is full, activated the power by tapping the Power button.

When activating Feral Frenzy, The Legion enters a deadly rage. While the power is active:

  • The Legion sprints faster than the base movement speed.
  • The Legion can vault pallets but cannot break them.
  • Survivors' scratch marks are hidden from The Killer's view.
  • Survivors' blood pools are hidden from The Killer's view.

While Feral Frenzy is active, hitting a Survivor who is not currently afflicted with Deep Wound status effect:

  • Applies the Deep Wound status effect.
  • Injures the survivor, if they are not already injured, or downs them if they are.
  • Refills The Killer's entire power gauge.
  • Triggers 'Killer Instinct', revealing the location of all Healthy* Survivors who are within The Killer's Detection Range.

While Feral Frenzy is active, hitting a survivor afflicted with Deep Wound status effect, missing an attack, canceling the power, hitting a survivor with a basic attack* or fully depleting the power gauge:

  • Triggers an extended recovery cooldown and fully depletes power gauge if not fully depleted.

Special Ability: Pure Agility

While the power is on cooldown, tap the Power button near a dropped pallet to vault over it. The pallet vault speed cannot be modified with perks. Performing this action stops the power recovery while vaulting.

Interesting concepts, though I'm not sure I fully understand your proposed FF changes. So the power can now down survivors from my understanding? And if so, is the recharge the same? Everything seems interesting, but I don't get the new FF.

I posted the Power numbers under the Power itself, and yes, the new power can down Injured survivors that do not have Deep Wounds applied. This will encourage survivors to fully heal more, while also not making survivors that are Injured but have Deep Wounds completely hopeless.

The duration went down to 6s

The recharge went down to 14s

I had very similar idea with the part that Legion can down injured Survivors without DWs while in FF. But I think it would be more balanced if the Killer Instinct didn't show the injured Survivors. But I like that new ability while the power is on cooldown. Great job!

Wasn't the ability to down people in Feral Frenzy the reason Legion got nerfed in the first place on release? I'm pretty sure your version is not only stronger than release Legion but even more unfun. That's the issue people are having with Feral Frenzy, not just that it's weak but that when it's strong it's absolutely unfun to play against. I genuinely believe Feral Frenzy cannot work as an ability, it cannot be strong and fun to play against.

The thing is, i made it highlight ANY survivors, including the Healthy ones, the downed ones the ones with Deep Wounds etc, this way you have a reliable tracking ability which also doesnt give you an easy down

as it states there, it only downs the survivor if they are injured and do not have deep wounds. The issue with Old Legion was the fact that they could easily tunnel down 1 survivor and there was nothing they could do about it, here you have to actually switch targets, or tunnel the survivor as a 110% killer, this encourages the killer to constantly switch targets while also forcing survivors to make a difficult choice of risking their life staying and fully rely on mechanical skill and game knowledge or heal to win yourself and others more time

tho, maybe making it highlight all survivors would make it much more confusing for the killer, and if everyone is injured it makes it an easy down no matter what so you're pretty correct on this one
