Delay the grabbing animation on the client side
Due to dedicated servers, grabs fail half of the time. The animation starts but the grab does not occur. The issue with this is that I cannot see jack ######### when grabbing someone and the grab fails. As seen in the screen shot below, the killer looks to the ground while the survivor appears to be grabbed. In reality, the survivor has already ran away. The problem with this is you do not know which direction the survivor ran since your view is completely obscured. This sometimes gives survivors an opportunity to escape/make some distance, e.g. Sprint Burst, and waste the killers time. I think the grab animation should be delayed slightly so that failed grabs due to dedicated servers do not obscure view. The delayed grab would be a visual only and the grab will not be delayed in reality. The remainder of the grab should be sped up so the overall time to grab should remain the same.

Double clicking also helps.

Or at least make it so that a grab also counts as a hit, so that you're not cheated out of a hit that you should've gotten. Nothing is more frustrating than having the grab start, survivor gets away, and they don't even get hurt like they would've on the p2p host.

This. I got several fake grabs Saturday night, and it can really cost you.
One was on a hook rescue during EGC, and getting stuck in the grab animation allowed both survivors to escape. If I'd injured instead of fake grabbed, I would have downed him in the exit gates. I've also had one that resulted in the last gen being fixed. The already-injured survivor went back on the gen while I was stuck in the grab animation, then poof! Adrenaline.
It's gotten to where I don't even want to try grabbing anymore. I'd almost rather lunge so I get the hit than take the chance on a grab not registering. But wait! I have a challenge to grab survivors! /sigh
