Another Oni Complaint
To the Devs: It seems a bit unfair that Oni can one hit you out of his dash. He already has better mobility than Billy with a dash that doesn't bump into walls.
My suggestion is to remove the one hit potential of an attack out of demon dash.
Either that, or take another look at the mobility mechanics of demon dash to make it easier to juke....
Respondents to this threat: Please give tips for going up against a competent Oni as survivor. Thanks!

..I'm so done with people XDDD

Honestly I think that would be a bad change as I feel that using his dash into attack is what makes the Oni fun to play and would ruin him.
What about increasing the amount of time to charge a 1 hit down when you're not dashing. This would create more areas that could be juked successfully.

"OnI HaS No CoUnTeRPlAy"
Ok rank 20 survivor
Next time you encounter him, use tight corners, windows and generally loops before crying for nerfs

you sound like an entitled killer

He is really fun to face and honestly stick close to walls and you should be fine.
He actually needs a slight fix more than anything. Why when I use his ability to destroy a pallet a survivor is vaulting do they get injured and not put into the dying state? Billy and leatherface instadown so why not Oni?

and if i remember correctly on pc if u use the keyboard correctly the oni can one-hit someone behind him which shouldn't be a thing, lol. Also, me, my friend, and some other people on this forum agree, oni would be more balanced if a hit while dashing counted as a regular attack and if he wasn't dashing it would be one-hit

but i'll be honest i haven't played against an oni yet so i cant make a fair opinion

but hey who cares what a mid-rank survivor has to say anyways

If landing a hit above 10 rank was that easy - yes. But not right now.

thats not enough tho. they should nerf his duration and speed of the dash. also he needs a longer cooldown when he cancels his dash. how about like 5 seconds? so survivor have acutally time to juke him. that would be fair and more fun!

I honestly can't tell if you are being serious or not. I invoke poes law

you dont think that oni is OP? what are you, oni main?

I'm not an Oni main.
5 seconds? Are you crazy!? That's worse that Legion!

this is worse? THIS IS BHVR!

Every new killer is nerfed because of complains from "crybaby" survs and this way of progress is supported by devs. I don't know if this is continue how game can be better. It becomes even worse, after each chapter, each patch.

I'm pretty sure they won't get rid of the one shot potential, nor will they reduce the turning of his demon dash. I do believe the mobility he has during his dash is what makes him so incredibly fun, and reducing that would hurt him way too much.
However, you can make him turn near instantly during your lunge out of his Demon Dash, when binding the left and right actions to q and e. Which can be really insane. And this is unintentional as far as I understand, so that will probably be fixed. Not sure about this though. I personally think that's the only change Oni still needs.

I would rather see either the amount of blood required increased or the duration lowered. Just an idea but maybe Oni could feed off a downed survivor once. This would extend his duration while also buying survivors a bit of time. That is basically four chances to extend the duration per trial.

All of those are bad ideas. He already can't get his power without injuring someone. Further handicapping it will make him an even more worse Billy than he already is. He loses duration when he downs someone and it instantly turns off when he grabs a survivor. The oni has solid counterplay. It just doesn't instantly turn off his power with no threat to survivors like they want it to.
