everybody Happy
Weird way to spell survivor mains... 🤔

That's at least two killer nerfs. You could argue that it's three. Have you seen the forums today? I think implementing these changes right now would kill the game overnight.

Removing bloodlust would be a big yikes on some maps and loops...
Looking at you Mr. Haddonfield fence

Guys stop taking this seriously. It's obviously another joke post and everyone is getting baited by it.

Doesn’t look biased at all

Hi. I did read this, like most of the posts here, even if we don't get a chance to respond to all of them.
First and foremost, there's isn't necessarily auto-aim, so to speak. What happens is that the game checks a cone shaped area in front of you to see if a survivor is there. If there is, it registers that as a hit and pulls you and your camera towards them. This is just to make your weapon looks like it visually appears to go through the survivor. The important thing is that when this happens, the killer has already gotten the hit. It's "movie magic", as it were.
As for making the survivor hitbox smaller, that wouldn't really be possible. The hitbox is already about the same size as the survivor themselves. Here's an example from a previous dev stream:
Making them smaller would have huge ramifications on other parts of the game. For example, survivors would be able to fit through even tighter gaps that the killer cannot (fat shaming), clip through walls, and take loops way tighter than the killer.
If we're talking specifically about hits through windows, this comes down to latency, not the hitbox itself. The hitbox is working as intended, the issue is that what you see as the survivor and what the killer sees on their end are two different things. There's only so much we can do about that unless you're physically in the same room as one another, since it takes time for data to get from one place to another.

Somebody will unironically make each one of these suggestions almost every day. Maybe this person doesn't actually want these changes but a lot of people do and it's become impossible to tell.
7 -
Words cannot express my satisfaction that a dev has acknowledged the term 'fat shaming' as canon in DBD.
9 -
You're not wrong sadly

@not_Queen said it on stream, back when they had them weekly. She's probably hipper than @Peanits

Have you tried knife fights on R6S? Or tried to use sledge’s hammer to kill? There’s no “auto-aim” (which would mean adjusting your camera onto target) or “AoE lock point” (the weapon will connect within a certain zone and I believe dbd does this rather than auto-aim) on that game.
With DBDs mechanics it’d be pretty stupidly easy to 360 killers alone and also to make survivors hitbox smaller (which’d also mean nerfing tonnes of stuff on the killer’s end and also mean survivors loop faster).
I have to pitch in on mentioning these things... can the current mechanics be improved? Possibly but the benefit goes both ways currently... there’d be a real lack of counters against nurse since you’re meant to use solid objects to sway her for example... so a survivor nerf if she can’t be countered like this aswell as other killers hitting stuff... but also there’d be a killer nerf since sometimes they hit when they didn’t aim at the survivor fully.

they already got a serious answer but thanks for trying bud

You're not implying survivor's hitboxes are currently smaller than killers, are you?

How else can they loop 🙄

u will make survivors happy with this not killers, but i agree on hitboxes should be better but bloodlsut is utterly fine.

I have talked about this in the Steam Forum aswell and as i have mentioned there:
The Game as it is right now for both sides is not enjoyable.
New Players who start from scratch will most likely play Survivor with some Friends first. Most of the Times crash into Rocks or Trees and will get frustrated of the Game because they do not know what they need to do to survive.
"God-Pallet" wasted in 3 seconds, Flashlight Saving from behind and so on.
The Killer can easely with no effort catch up. No One Escapes Death, Ruin, Bamboozle...will counter the Survivor in all ways.
As for the Killer Role you have right now so many Tools in the Game "Bloodlust" "Auto-Detection-Hits" and 200 Perks to chose from most of the Time will it be "No One Escapes Death" and "Ruin" for you to not even think about the decisions you make because in the end you will always catch up and down at least 1 or more Person.
I get more Facecamped then i can possible count. In the Time when you get Facecamped and you have a friend with Borrowed Time its always the same if the Killer is smart he hits first the Saving Person and after the Save he downs him and get another Hook....
So if you are good in Dead by Daylight with many Hours Played and Knowledge earned its not rewarding or Fun to get that way Killed.
This was my Opinion about the Gameplay , the Ranking System is NOT a indicator of How good you are this Month, ITS a Measure how much Time you have spend this Month playing. That is also a big Factor why nobody is really playing the Game for Fun anymore.
Players who Play in Rank 10-15 play for Fun and its more enjoyable. To get there your only way is to ######### at the start of the Game.
The best Idea is to get rid of everything the "Ranking System", "Bloodlust","Auto-Detection-Hits" maybe in a different Mode so it will not Ruin the sweaty Facecamp players for doing so.

You don't understand. For years, YEARS the Devs told us the "pill" for both killers and survivors were the same size and that loops were possible because survivors have better control over their movement.
Now, we know this is bullshit. Fat shames exists as proof. I just haven't seen a Dev own up to it. So I'm a bit shock to see it and want it clarified.

Yes.

No thanks
Dear god no
What? No way out of the question.
Dear god if they actually implemented these the game would indeed be "Dead by Daylight" because I doubt the player base would survive 24 hours.

don't forget iron works of BS! or mothers dwelling when either of THOSE 2 windows are open
1 -
Like I said. I know they are not. I know survivor is smaller.

Thats another Issue compare Hawkins National Laboratory with Autohaven its so unsafe to play on Hawkins National Laboratory you have maybe 2 good Pallets and all others can easely be ignored meanwhile you are on the Last Gen with kiting the Killer around on Autohaven and used 1 pallet.
1 -
That's why I said yes??
0 -
Are you secretly a Dev?
0 -
Why are you asking?
0 -
The clarification was directed to a Dev. For the reasons already stated.
0 -
they are.
i mean... just look at the difference in size between the two roles...
0 -
Sorry I don't see a Dev.
0 -
I know. We all know. Its obvious.
Back when all this was on the Steam forums, one of the biggest complains was looping. The community kept asking the Devs to make the survivor hitboxes the same size as killer.
During a Dev Stream they showed a Trapper and (I believe) a Meg inside a pill shaped outline representing the hitbox. They then go on to tell us they were the same size. Then they gave the theory because of the 3rd person camera survivors are able to move around objects easier than killer.
This is why having Dev/Mod stating the hitboxes are different sizes is surprising to an old Steam forums user like me.

there is a lot of good loops on hawkings and more than just 2 safe pallets, YES the majority are unsafe pallets but there are quite a decent number of semi safe to safe pallets

Nothing like nerfing killers to make survivors happy
