Ranks and Matchmaking Feedback
So....I haven't played much DBD since the Ash release and what I have played has been survivor.
My killer is rank 17. Between yesterday and today, I've had 1 actual game and I've waited in queue for about 95% of the time. The 1 "real" game I had resulted in 2 people killing themselves on hook and the other 2 hiding for hatch. No gens to kick, no chases. Playing as a pretty non-toxic myers. 1g/1y addon, ruin, pwyf, enduring and lightborn. Offering is usually a BP offering.
2 of the matches were canceled during loading do to a DC. 1 match had 2 dc's within the first minute.
I've yet to gain a rank after about 3.5 hours of game play as killer. 1 pip over 4 matches
I understand getting to lower ranks will speed up game times, but I can't see any new players keeping a game where the majority of the time they don't get to play.
For experienced players like myself, playing at brown ranks is just not fun. I get 0 challenge from new survivors, usually. I'm not bragging at all. I'm a mediocre killer on a good day. But I'm absolute God Tier when playing survivors with less than a few hours.
Why do you guys insist on keeping this absolutely idiotic ranking system, and then continue to base your matchmaking around it? Now you've added another variable, dedicated servers which also reduced the available player pool greatly.
Why not group players according to hours played, or average bloodpoints scored, or even the color of their house as I bet it would work better than the current.

I had an idea that stuffing four ranks into rank 17 was a fail. The OP shows their experience has been less than positive. The matchmaker tries to match players of similar ability. It is not designed to match a new survivor with a rank 15 killer (even if for solo play which all killers are, it is within the mythical 6 ranks difference).
Hours of play used to be relevant, but with players accumulating huge amounts of blood easily, then using the blood to buy out webs in the hope of getting better and higher grade perks, it is not unusual to see a rank 17 killer or survivor with all purple perks. Then place that player with similar against a killer with one perk at rank 20. Sure they are all gray ranks but the killer is at a disadvantage.

Why don't you guys focus more on listening to hardcore / high hour players when it comes to how to properly rank a survivor or killer.
You guys have tried internally and failed at each and every front on how to judge a player's ability and here we are with things worse than they've ever been.
Now, one of your top fog whisperers is even on board with how nonsensical this system has become.
How many refunds has steam had to issue and how much has your playerbase already suffered. Has anyone brought this to the attention of the BHVR accountant, and let them know they are losing new players, therefore losing money in the long run because new players get to look at a lobby for 45 minutes to an hour? I have a feeling that's the only way to get a fire lit and get things done.
