Is it possible to get 8k points by sitting in the basement the whole game?

In the Boldness category, you mean? Technically yes, as long as you leave the basement before the game ends, because the points are only awarded once you leave.
You would also have to stay down there quite a long time - I'm not sure exactly how long, although I've been trying to find out with no success so far.

Unless you test it yourself, than you won't find that answer.
I don't know anyone that's willing to sit the entire game in the basement while their teammates are slaughtered... just to get 8k points in boldness.
While yes it can be done @ocafghanistan the amount of time it would take is unknown at the moment, and even if we found that out... you would require us to sit in a basement and do nothing for like... way too long while our teammates die.
In-general, you can get 8k boldness points by any other means than just sitting in a basement... I mean heck, breaking totems will give you 5k (if you do them all) and after that you just break hooks or get chased for the full 8k...
The idea of doing this is so unrealistic lol.

It wouldn't take that long, you'd just need to find out the rate at which Basement Time points are calculated and multiply it. I just haven't had a chance to look into it yet.

Still, it's one of those things that're infinitely circumvented with other boldness gathering options.
While yes, this isn't supposed to be a "is this better than X?" question and more so just for the sake of speculation... I still think it isn't really that important to bother finding out.
Regardless though, if you feel like finding that out for him than go ahead... otherwise it isn't really a big deal if you don't. I'd say it would probably take 5 minutes, maybe more... but who knows.

I mean I imagine it's possible, but you can get boldness super fast from one or two chases so I don't see a reason to try it.

As others said for boldness it's possible and maybe altruism as well but only if your teammates know if your having a basement party.

It's still pointless to even do it... mainly because there are many other things you can do to gain boldness points.
I'm fine with "for the sake of information!" But it really boils down to "is this even worth knowing or bothering with?" Cause I can easily tell you it isn't, but i'm not the one asking the question so... its up to the OP to decide that.

Oh I completely agree with you, just saying you COULD but there's really no point, like you said.

And while you can yes, I don't know anyone who would be willing to sit in a basement for like... 5 minutes to find out lmao.
Especially if you're doing this in a LIVE match, that post-game chat would be nasty.

Yeah, people would NOT be happy with that situation.

Right, some players hate that you don't save them in 30 seconds... let alone doing nothing for the entire match.

@ocafghanistan I did test it out a long time ago it was 15-20 minutes .
But most games end up faster given that you're also not participating in the game your teammates would go down faster and you won't fill up the whole category . You'd be somewhere halfway or a little over half . With a safety pip or even worse a De-pip
It's easier to Sabotage Hooks , get chased by the Killer for 1-2 minutes .

15-20 minutes? Definitely not worth it lol...
But thank you for sharing that information, now it's out there for people to know... if they really want to do this... which I wouldn't ever.
