Blacklisting Option
There needs to be an option to put someone on a blacklist so that you do not get put into a match with them or against them. There have been times when I've been put into a group with someone who is being unnecessarily toxic or just not fun to play with or against, and it's happened multiple times. If it's a Survivor with a Survivor you can usually recognize the people who you've played with who are not fun to play with and just leave lobby if you see them (granted that they don't change their display names) but for overly toxic killers you don't have the option to leave as you don't know who you're up against.
Like in WoW if you put someone on your ignore list you will not be put in a group with them, what I am suggesting is similar and would alleviate in part some bad groups and maybe, just maybe, if multiple people put someone on their blacklist and they start having problems getting groups they just might be 'oh, well maybe the problem is me', and fix their attitudes.

I get tons of toxic survivors, it'd be nice to not run into them again even if it's kinda unlikely.

A blacklist list will get abused.
Salty survivor mains will just blacklist every competent killer, leaving them with no one to play anymore.

definitely needs some kind of checks and balances. Perhaps only so many can be put on a list and it gets purged regularly to allow for people to have a chance at repairing their behavior.

DBD doesn't have a big enough playerbase to support something like this - queue times get pretty bad as it is.
Even if it did, such a system would still be very much open to abuse. The article below explains why this is a better idea on paper than it is in practice, using Overwatch as an example:
