"There are a lot of features that people in the community have requested as basekit – Ruin, for example (which is not going to happen)".
Killers were really asking for Ruin to be basekit? Sweet lord this would ruin the game even more.

Was that a pun? 😉
Also if it helps, the devs on stream had basically the same reaction as you.

That is all I know how to do.

"There are some who are disappointed with the new system because they relied on rank reset to be able to try out new killers that they weren’t so good at, against less skilled opponents. The devs are aware of this problem with the current rank system and the fact that it has only one “mode”, and they would like to try to address it, but they can’t yet specify exactly when or how."
Best course of action here is to implement a Ranked/Unranked game mode. Easy fix..

Basically like that really. But a more different saying on the bronze and silver thing. Since its DBD the names should be altered. But yeah.
Like ex:
Gray Ranks
Fresh meat l to lV: Simple
Yellow ranks
Normal Survivor/Killer l to V: Normal
Green Ranks
Vigo & Benedict l to Vl: Hard
Purple Ranks
Archives Librarian l to Vlll: Expert
Red Ranks
Entity l to X: Pro

I think what @TheIdeaMind2000 means, is that rank 1-4 should get more rewards each game than ranks 5-8, 5-8 more than 9-12 and so on.
So in higher ranks the games are harder but you get more bps and/or exp.

I see. So what did they mean about the higher ranks being more grindy, or being able to choose to go up or down ranks?
0 -
I'm not sure. But I think it's that if yoh go higher you get more rewards so you can grind more.
And going up and down is a simple matter of depping on purpose.
Unless I got something wrong of course.
@TheIdeaMind2000 can you clarify?
