Should The Trapper get a number rework?

I feel like The Trapper is still stuck in 2016, his gameplay without addons is probably the most outdated thing in this game.

And the best thing is, he doesn't need a rework like Freddy or (pls no) Legion, he just needs some numbers tweaked: start with 2-4 traps. Would this be too strong?

Another complaint I've been reading is that people don't like his traps being RNG based, so just adding a skillcheck interaction (like searching through a jigsaw box) could work really well.

This would mean changing some addons, though.

I just wonder why devs haven't done anything to him so far

    He just needs to start with some if not all of his traps

    The randomness bugs me as a survivor and those rare games I play trapper. I have had times he was across the map but made it to me because it took like 10 tries... I also had one in terror radius who I’m sure thought he had me but first try and I was out of the trap gonzo lol

    He definitely needs some love. Trapper can still win if played well, but many maps completely neuter him. Not to mention his ENTIRE power can be sabotaged for 3 minutes (though i admit people rarely sabo). He should start with at least 3 traps at base, and I would be fine with them slightly nerfing his bags for this.

    Also, when survivors are disarming his traps, I think they should be faced with skill checks. If they fail any, they are either injured or trapped due to their poor handling of the traps. I don't like that survivors can cancel out his power with essentially no effort.

    I love your ideas, and conceptually this seems like a very easy change the devs could implement.
