Is this Balanced

This involves the topic of Gen speed and Keys, i may have come up with a reasonable change that could fix several game health issues.

Well for starters the EGC has changed how most mechanics and strategy for KiIler/Survivor, and i think it could receive a few tweaks. The EGC starts the moment an exit gate is open or the hatch is closed, what if it started after the 5th Gen was completed or the hatch is closed, the time it takes to open a gate will need to be extended as well. This is to rush the Survivors out. (no grieving or Lolly gagging)

The Killer now has more incentive to pressure the gates. The EGC has a few seconds reduced to ensure the tension is high to encourage a final decision on the next play. The Survivors have ample time to leave the map now. I also think the hatch should automatically open after the 5th Gen but the killer can always see where the hatch is, basically a third possible exit but with a twist only one can leave through the hatch it will close afterwards. The killer can see the hatch's aura so when EGC starts by Gens the Killer will have to decide to either close the hatch first or pressure the gates. This could void keys because only one person can go in the hatch and it will open the same time as the Gens are done. The different perks that activate will be active a little sooner, no big change there. The Survivors should be awarded more for exiting, while the killer gets a small bonus for late sacrifices.

I think this change could even make some weak killers stronger for examples: Pig and Trapper would possibly benefit the most if they strategically used their powers efficiently, maybe the Hag in certain situations.

I hope that even through the small chance that you finished reading this it would spark an even better idea that considers balance and longevity for DBD and the entire community.

You both have great ideas but need tweaking. If ETC were to start at 5th gen completion then gates would have to open faster it's wouldn't be fair to survivors otherwise. I don't think that the killer needs more incentive to put pressure on the gates. EGC is made so survivors have to decide wether or not they can open the gate. If someone is downed they might consider 99ing so that incase someone gets downed in the rescue of surv on hook they don't have pressure to leave. This is why if EGC is activated on 5th gen completion then gates would have to either open automatically otherwise it's to killer sided because they will be on a time crunch not to mention killer often have endgame perks like noed or bloodwarden. I like your idea but it would make bloodwarden and overpowered meta. Endgame is about 2 min I think and bloodwarden 3 closes gates for 60sec so if EGC starts when gens are finished and it take like 18sec to open which won't happen right away and then bloodwarden activates. The survivors have no escape. This will allow killers to play sloppily the entire game and then get one hook when gates are open and get a 4k. Not going to work

The EGC is fine as it is, if the exit spawns get fixed. The EGC isn meant to help killer kill survivors, its just to prevent hostage situations.

Thanks for the response and Merry Christmas, I suppose I could have added that most survivors are getting better so if the killer was to gain an advantage then survivors would simply escape sooner, therefore ending the trial. I don't expect 4k games because the choice to leave someone is always available.

I appreciate your additional tech numbers I need that, well consider this if the 5, 6 and 7 Gens were at 98 or 99 on tap the Survivors may have a inherited solution to slugging as well, because the hatch will auto open with everyone alive and they could have adrenaline on.

I don't get it. Exit gates spawn within sight of each other now, and you're saying that they should take more time? The killer and survivors should be racing to the gate as soon as the last gen pops. That 20 seconds can decide the fate of the game. If it was 30 or 40 seconds the killer would have to be on the other side of Backwater to not get to the gate before it's open. Combined with NOED and survivors would never escape, whether they do the objective or not.

The killer has always had to choose which exit gate to pressure but if 2 players go for both gates the killer will also have to pressure the hatch that will open anyway, so 2 survivors escaping would be likely which is a balance.

Say you are the Survivor that loops and pallets the killer and get hit twice but you were headed for the hatch between the chase. You win the chase and the others have escaped without having to come back for you because you hatch escaped, baited the killer, and you don't need a key or add ons.
