My claudette has borrowed time but it says I have not purchased it in the shrine

They were obtained normally through the bloodweb prior to adding him to the platform

Could be a bug, can you provide screenshots please?

It should also be noted that you can unlock this perk by simply leveling up Bill... so if your bill is like, level 30-35-40 (or whatever level makes Borrowed Time unlockable) than it's than teachable to every Survivor.

This is on PS4 and I have borrowed time for a few characters

My bill is level 1. I haven't used him.

I remember buying borrowed time in the shrine months ago. I dont want to purchase it again.

Yeah, this clearly seems like a bug from the looks of it.
as context, here's what mine looks like
You should naturally have the option to buy it again for 2k Iridescent shards in exchange for 150k BPs. Instead... it's acting as if you never unlocked it. Perhaps it's a visual bug and when purchased it'll give you the 150k BPs anyways? But I wouldn't try it out, so I can basically tell you that it is a bug.
(Also for more context, I have this unlocked on Claudette as well...)
Here's some options if... you care to go and do them
You can either report this as a bug to the "Bug Report" sub-forum. There, you can let BHVR know that things like this do happen so they can fix it for the future. I'm not sure if it's only for PS4 or for every platform, so you can decide where to put it.
Here's the "Bug Report" sub-forum link: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/categories/bug-reports
I'd advise filing it under "perks and add-ons" since that seems to be the best place to post this. If you also want to take this up to the support team so they're aware of this, than I can provide another link below to the support team. There, you can submit a ticket and see if they're already aware of this bug OR if this is new to them.
Here's the support link: https://support.deadbydaylight.com/hc/en-us
whether you do either of those is your choice...
If this concerns you in any way than you can do either of those two options above. If it doesn't, than I wouldn't worry about it... unless you wanted those 150k BPs... than i'd go to the support team about it.

I also should have unbreakable as seen in the Claudette screenshot

And left behind. for her.

If that's the case than it could be an issue with the Shrine itself, since you didn't naturally level bill up to unlock it like I did, instead you bought it through the Shrine before.
That seems to be where the bug stems from, it doesn't recognize that you already bought the perk on a previous Shrine of Secrets... so it's acting like it's still not unlocked.
I'd just follow what I replied with above if it does concern you.

Did you also buy these in a old Shrine?
0 -
It would have been a while back so I'm not 100% certain but I definitely remember buying at least two of those, if not all of them in the shrine.
I will file a report but I would just like to know if they will still show up in my other survivors bloodwebs or if I need to buy them again and keep track of the perks I have purchased? just incase this happens again.
Now I will be going through checking all my perks are registered as being bought because if they are not showing up in my bloodwebs for killers aswell, I will have wasted alot of time and bloodpoints trying to get these perks to appear in my bloodwebs.

That I cannot say, but if memory serves... this issue also happened awhile back to someone else. It seems to only be an issue for the Shrine itself and not the perks being unlocked in future blood-webs for your Survivors.
That's why I also provided the support link, if you're concerned with that than you can also submit a ticket and a bug report to the Bug Reports sub-forum. After that is done, you can wait for your ticket to be answered and see what they tell you about this. Maybe they already know the bug exists, or maybe it was previously fixed and resurfaced (since this issue has happened before... if my memory isn't too poor). So who knows, doesn't hurt to try!

This is due to the instance when Bill was added to console. Previously his perks were unlockable in the regular way but when he got added to the game on Console, his perks became teachable perks and need to be unlocked the same way as they are for other characters.
1 -
What do you mean by "the regular way"? I bought them in the shrine of secrets, they should be teachables, no?
you say "they need to be unlocked the same way as for other characters" I don't understand. Are you saying I should level up bill to buy these perks the normal way as opposed to using the shrine?
0 -
Yes, you would need to level up Bill to get these perks - they were not initially teachable perks prior to the release of Bill, they were in the base game.

I think I understand. So it's not a bug. I only have these perks for these characters and they will not appear on other characters bloodwebs.
What about for the characters I do have them for, will higher tiers still appear in their bloodwebs? It's kind of unfair I have to buy them again.
0 -
I'm actually not certain if they will appear in the new bloodwebs for the perks that you have at low tiers - I've not actually come across that before. I suspect you'd have to unlock the teachables before the game recognised that you can get them at higher tiers.
All this is due to Bill not being released on console initially (due to licensing restrictions), but the addition of him to the Console release has been overwhelmingly positive so far.

I have yet to try him out, but I have no doubt he is a cool character.
I'm just stuck now thinking I don't want to spend shards in the shrine or bloodpoints levelling him up to get perks I SHOULD and already do have and have spent shards and/or bloodpoints on before, all due to the past licensing restriction.
Again just to verify, these perks before bill was added were teachables bought in the shrine or were obtainable in one, if not all characters bloodweb?

@MandyTalk "I'm actually not certain if they will appear in the new bloodwebs for the perks that you have at low tiers - I've not actually come across that before. I suspect you'd have to unlock the teachables before the game recognised that you can get them at higher tiers."
Well it's available in tier 1 on my meg's bloodweb.

Is that an old bloodweb? Like, did you reach that level on Meg and generate that bloodweb before Bill was added to console, or did you only just reach it?
0 -
The image has the Pustula Currency.
So it should a recent image from the looks of it.
0 -
I assume the image is recent, but the bloodweb might have been generated a long time ago.
0 -
I'm not sure what he was saving the image for if that's the case...
This exact thing?... kinda random.
0 -
No... I'm suggesting that they might have levelled Meg up to level 44 ages ago, before Bill was introduced to console, the bloodweb was generated with BT in it because it was a basic survivor perk back then, and they hadn't touched Meg's bloodweb since then.
They then came across it again recently and took a screenshot of it to post here because it was relevant to the topic. They don't have to have taken the screenshot as soon as the bloodweb was generated.
0 -
I don't see why they'd use that as an example if they're aware that the perk was generated on an old bloodweb...
Unless... they don't know that?... maybe...?

Hence my original question.

Ok... I don't know then.

Borrowed time was originally a perk that be obtained on every killer like small game, dark senses etc until they changed BT,left behind and unbreakable to be put on a specific character (Bill) if you unlocked BT or the other perks before the change was made you’ll still have the perk and not have it unlocked.
0 -
Did you mean every Survivor?
0 -
Bill wasn't originally released to console players but the dev's did give all of Bill's perks to use for free. They were put into the public perk pool along with stuff like Spine Chill. But once they got the licensing to put Bill on console they did. You have the perks because they were free perks before Bill's unlock on console, now they are attached to a character, and sense you didn't unlock the teachable on Bill the game registers it as not obtained. Put in an error report and see if it's intentionally this way or if it needs to be fixed.
0 -
Still for the characters I have these perks for, higher tier versions should still appear in their bloodweb no?
0 -
It would appear not - you only have whatever you unlocked previously. It seems you would need to unlock the teachable either through the Shrine or through levelling Bill to gain higher tiers of his perks on other characters.
0 -
No, this was said many times that they will refuse to re-appear UNTIL you unlock them on Bill again OR buy them on the Shrine again.
No matter what you do, they will not re-appear until you do those two options.
0 -
Pretty sure I spent Iridescent shards on some of those perks in the shrine any way
0 -
If you're talking about BEFORE, than no, that doesn't mean it'll still show up for you in the characters that owned it before...
To make this simple, unless you buy them again because of the change, or unlock them through Bill, than they will not re-appear ever again.
Those are you options, I'm sorry you used your shards on the perk before, but this is how you'll regain them, ok?

I read you the first time dude, take a chill pill.
0 -
Just making sure, you didn't listen before so I'm glad you understand now.
Good luck with it, it'll work out for you I'm sure.
0 -
Is it possible that you thought you bought them from the Shrine because you were finding them in the bloodweb? Because as a console player, you would have already owned those perks by default, meaning it shouldn't have been possible to get them in the Shrine.
1 -
That's true. They wouldn't have been in the shrine before bills release. I can't remember if I got them before in the bloodweb, or after his release in the shrine. I just had a feeling I did get them in the Shrine.
We'll never know. Seems like a lost cause discussing it at this point.
0 -
That's true. I wasn't sure if I got them before bills release in the bloodweb or after in the shrine. I just had a feeling. Seems pointless discussing it anyhow. Seems to be triggering some folks
0 -
Yeah, sorry for all the confusion. I think Bill's release on console could probably have been handled with more clarity, perks-wise. But we seem to have found the answer anyhow, so I hope the discussion was somewhat helpful in the end 🙂

I'll take the high road and ignore that indirect reference to my posts, glad you could find an answer in the end, even if it required me to repeat some things...
Good luck.
