Stealing people save when they already have enough to pip

Why is there so many survivors that keep stealing your safe even though they already have enough to pip up? Everytime I go for the save when the survivor is second state and there half way to dying I run towards them as quickly as possible the reason I let them half way is because I'm doing a gen most of the time and I wait when there half state but when I go over there the moment I try to save them someone else always uses dead hard to reach the save before me and I know they saw me going for the save because they look behind them! So why do they keep doing it even though I'm almost getting there the reason why I wait long is because I have borrow time and wait till the killer leaves I don't want to farm them I'll be considered not doing objectives and just wanting to let the survivor die right away if I farm them that's how I feel if I go for the save right away so why do survivors do this all the time?

It isn't to pip up, it's for the BPs. Some Survivors keep doing safe unhooks to gain more BPs, since it gives 1k from an unhook and 500 more points if a few seconds pass... making it a "safe unhook."

Also, if you're solo than the other Survivors are not going to know that you have Borrowed Time unless you tell them that in the pre-game chat. And they sometimes won't be at the monitor or tab back in until the match starts... so doing that everytime will not really let everyone know.

It basically boils down to "look, free 1k blood points" and that they think it'll make you go back onto the generator you were working on to save time. Sometimes they don't even know you're going for the save, so they determine this off of how long the person on the hook is unhooked. If you take too long to get the save, than eventually someone will get of a generator to go and get them. So sometimes that will cause both the Survivors to get off BOTH those generators and get them at the same time. That's the downside of being solo with no mics though, so it's ultimately up to your personal judgement.

    Oh and one more thing

Some Survivors don't care about piping up at all, which is why I say it's most likely for more blood points. This is especially the case for Survivors at Red Ranks (aka 95% the case) but at Purple Ranks it's kind of more so to pip up to Red... but also to mostly get blood points.

Unless you want to stay progress in the ranks, than it's mostly for Blood points.

If you deliberately wait for them to reach the second state, then you have only yourself to blame. I don't quite follow your reasoning for it. You are guaranteeing them a death on their next hook which, imo, is not cool (if you do that everytime, rather than situationally). If you want the save, move quicker. If someone gets there before you, because you intentionally waited, that's your fault, not theirs.

I know what you mean but if I'm in close range where the hook is then I usually wait half way because I'm always working on a generator if I'm far away then I will have to get the safe because I don't trust other people on doing going for the save but Everytime I do go for the save someone is already there even though I was far away and there are hooked I'm going for the save asap because idk if the other survivors are hiding or getting chased

If you are in close range and wait for them to reach the second state, you are reducing the times that they can be hooked, for no reason. You can always go back to the gen. If it takes you that long to work on the generator, then it wasn't worth waiting on. It's quite possible that other people are running perks that can see you sitting there not helping, so they take it upon themselves to save that person. If they consistently beat you there, then you are waiting too long. You need to prioritize, work on the gen, or get the save.

I still don't understand the strategy of deliberately waiting until they reach the second state before making an attempt to save them. Gens are important, but so are teammates. That hurts the team. And if you are close to the hook, others may keep working on their gens assuming that you will go for the save, and then rush there when they realize that you aren't.

If you are unsure of what your team is doing, maybe you should run one of the vision perks, like kindred or boind.
