The DLC-Bug Fix Paradox
I think that most of us can agree that the current patch of the game is broken. Dedicated servers have been causing perks not to function properly. The hitboxes on some killers is an absolute joke (I'm looking at you, hatchets). The new rank reset system is...insane.
With every new DLC comes more code built into the game and therefore bugs have more places to occur. So if we limit the DLC releases then that should limit the bugs, right? Yes...and no. In order to fix the bugs, the devs have to pay more money into coding for fixed bugs as opposed to new content or optimization. To cover those costs, they have to consistently release DLC in order to generate a steady revenue from current players.
I've seen a lot of outcry for holding off on the next chapter and focusing on fixing the game as it is. While I sympathize with your aim, that idea for fixes simply won't work.
I think that the only way to get bug fixes fixed without releasing a new chapter is for Behaviour to pull of some kind of stunt to generate new players. Maybe it's cross-console play? Maybe a deluxe edition with every DLC at a premium price? Maybe it's waiting for the legal battle over the Friday the 13th rights to settle and officially kill that game by adding Jason as a killer? (I know, new DLC=more bugs but that would be a good gamble IMO).
I think that the devs need to address this sooner than later. The current patch is really turning off a lot of hardcore players and if they aren't going to work on enticing new players, they have to give current players a reason to stay.
What do you guys think would be a good solution to fixing patches without creating more by adding DLC?

If it's a Money thing because they can't pay enough coders to find the bugs, they should put out another epic cosmetic pack like the Charity Case pack. Nothing wrong with that charity being money that will be promised to be used on their bug issue by highering more peeps or paying their coders overtime. People who really love this game, which is a ton, would most likely drop 5 or 10 bucks for a nice big influx of cosmetics.

While I don't think we need to slow down on the DLC releases, we DO need a massive health update to the game. Some of this stuff needs to be way higher priority.
It's not a money thing, it's a time thing. Say you have 10 programmers. They work 40 hour weeks, maybe 50 if it's a crunch. That means you have 400-500 man hours to do whatever needs doing.
If fixing a single bug takes 10 hours, that's literally one person entire work day. That means in 1 week you could potentially fix 50 bugs. But it's not really that simple. First you have to consider that some of those hours will need to be dedicated to new features/content. Second, you have to assume that some bugs may take much MUCH more time to fix. Third, you have to make room for testing and Q&A to ensure that whatever you changed doesn't make new bugs. And fourth, there are way way more than 50 bugs in the game. That means you have to prioritize the important ones, which means lesser bugs go one not being fixed. As as new content is released, or updates made, new bugs WILL pop up and some will out-prioritize the lesser bugs.
So at the end of the day it's not "we need more money to fix this stuff" it's "we need more time to fix this stuff". Although technically you can make more time by hiring more staff, but there is a limit. Eventually the ROI will be too low such that even adding more programmers won't fix bugs any faster.

This game is not free. They generate money with every new player.
I'm freaking sick and tired of hearing new "reasons", why poor devs can't fix the game. Stop the whining and finally get the people their money worth. Make the game playable, for god's sake.
