I think you guys could reduce a bit the outrage if you tell us your stance on gen speed, if you see there is a problem, if you're working on something etc. Just a little suggestion.

almo i dont know you know this but a really good survivor team can finish a gen in 24 seconds from start of the game because that person didnt have ruin. You want proof? I can link it to you anytime.

Nothing's wrong with gen speeds. If you can't keep all the survivors you're not chasing off a gen, can you really call yourself a good killer?

So if 99% of the community hate the change but there's that 1% who like the change your still going to implement it into the game?
Isn't the whole point of a PTB to test something and if the players don't like it then you won't add it into the game after all? I remember that's what you guys said when the BL changes were announced.
But at this rate what's the point of PTB if your going to keep the changes even if they suck?
Also can you please explain why you keep hiding stuff from us? This is why people are getting angry. You did this with the Freddy addon changes too. If I was a game developer I would never ever do this.

You expected it and you ignore it, like all killers opinion and suggestion. We forget that you are siding with survivors. But you do nothing about crazy gen rushing speed. We all realized how BHVR works.

Absolutely thrilled to know you enjoy telling killer mains to get ######### and deal with it.
So are you going to do anything about gen times?
Or the fact 2/3's of your map are god awful?
It's absolutely riveting and titillating to hear you don't give a ######### about a large portion of your player base or the enjoyment they get out of being able to ACTUALLY play the game.
How about fixing basic bugs that have been around since dedicated servers that constantly rob killers of things like grabs?
How about fixing the sound bug thats been going on for what? Two months, almost three?
I'm ######### over the moon that you are happy that you are killing your games veteran player base in the name of trying to attract new people that will then get the same treatment.

Except Ruin doesn't last till mid game (at least according to the forums), and the emblem change was to fix the fact that you'd get bronze gate keeper even if you stalled out the last 3 gens for like 20 minutes.

So that people can complain for 2 full weeks without testing it? Sure...
btw. even the PTB test will not be enough to see the consequences, only the Live Server can give that insight.

No because by the time the changes drop on the ptb people will have had 2 weeks to calm their heads. Announcing a huge change like this a day before a PTB is just stupid

Testing new ruin isn't required, this change is awful and any Experienced player would know that.

They know it they expected it but they are ok with it. Just shu* up and deal with it policy. They are expecting that miracle happens after PTB testing and suddenly all killers will be fine with destroying their only early slow down perk that uses 80% of killers. BHVR should try play vs red ranks survivors without ruin and show us how much "fun" they have. Another good idea is find out, why 80% of players are using ruin. Maybe hex was fine but necessary evil to counter insane gen rushing speed.

Statistics have literally nothing to do with the killer being viable, she is the best killer still, arguably just the hardest one to play.

Is this saying that level 1 ruin does nothing? Like buying level 1 ruin is just a waste of BP until it's tier'd up? Because I'll tell you, as long as I've been playing, I still have level 1 ruin on some of my newer/prestiged killers, and I thought you guys addressed useless level 1 perks a long time ago, so why did you make level 1 ruin absolutely pointless?

We don't need to try the changes, there is no way the new setup can do as much as the old does. The more forward thinking people of this forum, can already forcast how greatly less effecive its going to be.
The core reason for why 80% of red ranks gameshave ruin is not being addressed, they are just making it less annoying for one side, at the cost of making the game play crud for the other.

@CrowFoxy personally I think how the dev notes was wrote and came across has annoyed alot of players. When killer is hella frustrating and stressful but nothing is done or even said it mental. Even the doctor note it says nothing about the killers fun.
I personally play both sides I do not use ruin unless I play clown because clown lol
But I had hope they would address map issues do alot of bug fixes work on improving the issues. But after this I see my fun as a killer doesn't actually matter. So I'm taking a long brake from playing killer.

This isn’t just outrage, friend. This change will permanently affect the player base. We’re all incredibly disappointed in this change. Do not dismiss our criticism on the basis of “we expect outrage”. We want the game to succeed just as much as you do, so please don’t ignore our genuine problems with this patch.

OK so, if red ranks are mad about Ruin changes why not think about Perks in a new way. Maybe Rank 3 Ruin work like it always has but Rank 1 and Rank 2 work in the new way where it regresses generators?
OR
Make Ruin work in the new way for people in the bottom tier of Rank. (17-20 or whatever)

I would argue heavily against that.
Nurse has some degree of counterplay that isn't guesswork.
Spirit is a 50/50 guess if she is phasing or not.
Then another 50/50 guess if she is phasing or not.

Eeehm, nah. Nurse is still the strongest. No other killer ends chases as fast as her, and at least as of now, that the sounds are bugged (At least hopefully they're bugged) shes definetly not stronger than Nurse.

With sounds screwed, yeah she is definitely weaker.
But from a basekit and the fabled state of no sound bugs.
I and more than a few people who make their living off dbd tend to say Spirit is strongest.

Why? Killer players on forums will always cry, cause they made themself being crybabys. No arguements would be accepted for any kind of change that doesnt benefit them. That they wont accept that Ruin is frustrating for anyone involving new players is a fact. Also that ruin wasnt anywhere near that useful like those one wanna tell us, cause in most games ruin will be cleansed after one minute or powered through.

and by fundamental change you mean to hamfist your worthless sjw balance into a game thats already barely enjoyable and more frustrating than ever, not like its that hard to cleanse a ######### totem by holding m1, lying with your stats and scamming with almost every dlc like the moneywhores you at bhvr are. who the ######### gives a ######### that cote is now happy to hit his skill checks when you basically ######### over 20% of your playerbase?! Civ5 will never be forgotten and how your true faces got revealed. i am done with bhvr and its products.
as a side note since this will get me banned i expect to get an email with all the data you collected with red shell and afterwards if not this is going the legal way. good thing that this post is formally enough to fullfill the requirements.

Yeah. Insta heals and BL nerfs were clearly things survivors called for. Don't get me wrong, those needed changes. The Ruin nerf is also a terrible idea in my opinion. But don't pretend they've only nerfed killers.

You all only seem to care how the game plays for rank 15-20 survivors so of course you guys are going to be satisfied with it. Against actual decent players the new ruin is useless.

I'm hoping it is clear that a large part of this outrage is not just due to Ruin being nerfed but the fact that the image of BHVR being survivor bias and catering to New players was on full display with the recent "Developer notes" (or whatever its called) that was released.
I know I personally have not really touched DBD in quite some time and was on the fence about coming back. After having seen the aforementioned "Developer notes" I can say that if these changes do go live I will have concluded (in my mind) that BHVR has taken this game in a direction I cannot agree with and will not be returning. If these changes do not go through I will still be on the fence about returning because it has personally shown me that there is a huge misunderstanding or miscommunication with one whole side of this community that seems to be completely ignored.
While I harbor no ill feelings towards BHVR or its employees I would strongly urge you all to see that this recent "outrage" is NOT just due to a perk being changed but rather it was the final push that knocked over a tower of much larger concerns.

The passive-aggressive comment wasn't really necessary since I don't give a f* about Ruin, I never used it and never said I think gen speed is a problem.
I was just pointing out that part of the outrage is due to the fact people don't know the devs' stance on the matter and jump on the conclusion that they don't care, so saying something would help mitigate the bad mood.

Hey Dev, care to tell us how you expect a Hex totem to have an effect in the late game, the same ones that everyone complains only last 30 seconds. Oh my bad I forgot how out of touch you guys are with your game in the high ranks.

meanwhile, sound issues are not adressed since 2017 (still no priority i guess), and hiding the ranks because they are inept to fix their own backwards logic matchmaking. kinda sounds more and more like devgarden
