So was this statement accidentally released early, I mean they were clearly going ahead with the change regardless of what feedback they get, but it would have been nice for them to at least pretend for a couple days before they claimed they observed anything to make a judgement on.

I'm almost certain they're going to do the same thing they did with nurse. Not listen to any of the feedback and put it live anyway.

This was decided in a meeting a long ago, it seems. It's a marketing move. The same reason that the new collectors edition has Trapper sharing the cover with Demo. Instead of just some dlc blurb at the bottom.
They want the game to be more accessible to the rage-quit inclined. They also apparently asked ppl off the street to play rank 20 survivor against ruin and everyone died.

This makes literally no sense. Obviously they'd advertise getting a deal with a major franchise like Stranger Things, this is extremely major. But "we nerfed ruin" is only influential to people who already play the game. It means nothing to people who haven't played it. Has nothing to do with marketing

I kinda feel like "select experienced players" means "randoms off the street". I've watched basically all of the twitch streamers, who are experienced as they get, and they all pretty much say the same thing. You dev's are survivor biased and have no clue how your own game works.

We need something perks to delay gen rushing at beginning of the match, otherwise 3 gens will be completed when 1st survivor gets down. Are you really understanding this circumstances?

My exprience was underwhelming this ptb
New doc feels really weak, new ruin is a joke for low tier killers, new map looks nice but they added new god pallets in almost every tile

I kinda doubt this was a test we can actually put our trust into, since our own experiences from the ptb and hundreds of hours playtime differ greatly from this.

How about you guys stop whining and just get better without ruin good God. I dont ever use it and i main Wraith and Doctor in purple and red ranks respectively. The game is fun as killer for me without the use of it. Quit being dependent on it.

I really quit this game, not because they destroy balancing.
But, because they didn't listen feedback and have strong self-confidence.

I'm still so pissed about the nurse butchering. Haven't played her anymore and everytime I verse Nurse I'm just making a complete joke about that poor killer choosing "the strongest killer in the game". I haven't versed a single nurse who got more than 2 kills. Absolute trash killer now.

Not true. We're talking about players with literally thousands of hours in the game. Some main Survivor, some Killer. Hell we even had a veteran Doc main try new Doc. :)

How many players were those? Which bandwith of skill did they have? Because not everyone is a professional doc main for example and most players hardly agree about balance. Yet I see so many people unite behind the current opinion on this forum that I have to ask this. Its a nice attempt to let good players test this out, but I can't get rid of the feeling that these players represent a minority and not the most shared opinion across the playerbase and that is kinda odd without an explanation of those players. That certainly would help.

I know right. I even played against Tofu’s nurse and he only managed to kill 1 person.
she’s so annoying to play now and it really makes me sad since she used to be my main. It’s just not worth it to play her anymore; especially if you want to win. :’-(

Find me 3 serious dev responses to the feedback in all the new ruin threads. I'll wait. The only one I found says the devs like the change even though they know it will get negative feedback.

If they release a statement saying they are happy with the changes and expect outrage for it, and then keep the changes, how is this not ignoring feedback. This was done with nurse, spirit, legion, and now ruin. Not once have k seem the devs scale back changes from the ptb into the actual game. Also, it's very hard to have faith in internal tests. I'm not accusing them if being dishonest, but there is a lack of transparency that is concerning.
