So I have heard via twitch.....
That Killers are guarding their totems now, their precious ruin, survs can do such without.......i mean come on its good for the new survs, if you count on ruin then that is bad.....survs still play their nerfs...maybe use other stuff.....and those who say survs gen rush,what do you exect them to do????? the point IS to do gens, killers goal is to kill....to stopgen rushing get rid of tool boxes and slow down the gen times.....i have een on games now and i am bored......cos of gen rushing, we cant help it, even if i do totems etc we cant help the gen rush...maybe surs need something else to do but dont blame survs they are there to do gens....

This is the biggest change killers have recieved and it's a pure negative..people will take a stance..the devs have offered no solutions yet so...people are taking a stand..cant blame them for that..I hate ruin..but the game isnt ready to be without it

Because without ruin killers will be gen rushed ..just wait the day ruin is nerfed your going to have so many angry killers because gens are being done to fast

Ruin is practically BS anyway so why are people getting their knickers in a twist? when ruin is active people find it so early on....i agree as a surv main it needs a buff to some point....but there are many other perksout there

don't listen to twitchies.....killers that run ruin would more likely than not guard it.....nothing has changed in that regard.....we expect the Devs to acknowledge the imbalance between killer and survivor objective.....not some out of touch reason like Gatekeeper Emblem.....

Look killers ARE gen rushed WITH ruin, how many dcs just because someone foun and demolished it within seconds??? it is a stupid perk, it needsa huge buff......i mean if you rely on this perk that is not good

I play Killer and Survivor, and I dont see what all the commotion is about. I 4K all the time a Killer without Hex Ruin. And as Survivor, I beat Killers using Hex Ruin all the time by either using Small Game to help me find totems, or simply by hitting Great Skill Checks. If you're a Killer who uses Hex Ruin that's fine... Not gonna put u down for using a perk. But if u rely on it to the point u can't play without it well... That's your problem.

This entire post gives me the impression that you exclusively play survivor. If you played killer at higher ranks, you'd understand why a lot of players aren't exactly thrilled about this change. In before.. "I'm a red rank killer and I've never used ruin and I 4k every game etc etc."

Angry, vengeful, if any killers even get on. So have fun with camping, tunneling killers after a 45 minute wait time for a match.

Agreed ruin isn't needed can easily run thana or dying light and pressure hard, yes for some of the killers this will still be hard but for anyone who plays the above average killers you won't tell a difference. Ruin was a double edged sword it made bad players rely on it to carry the game in hopes that it wasnt good enemy players that can land skill checks or wasnt a 4 man group so only the good players got to be productive and the rest of the team get punished(yes I'm aware people can spawn next to it but killers can spawn next to it/survivors aswell, it's all rng baby). That being said if they balanced the game in the important areas instead of some weird stuff we could have a better play experience for everyone

They're not Mad at the Survivors for doing the Objective; they're mad at the Devs for making it so damn easy and linear; that's why ruin was so loved and favored. It Slowed that easy objective.
With the change to ruin and NOTHING changed about Gen Speed; killers are Furious.

Well you know it is not like survivors are going to enjoy this change either. Increased pace of the game means overall shorter games, games are too short already imo. I literally do not see anything good coming from this.

Played all night. Nobody guarded their totem. A local minority is loud that's all. Most players dont care enough to involve so much of their free time protesting in a video game. These are kids who want to feel they are a part of something lol. All the killers saying they do fine without ruin will be here despite the loud baby killers screaming over them. Let them go.

Indeed survivor still play their nerf : Self-care is still in almost every match (but i take that as a good thing if i'm playing killer as they are just wasting time and giving me some) DS was nerfed-buffed and is still the most used survivor perk.

Hex perks are suppose to be uber strong since they can be gone within seconds. There was no reason to nerf ruin. If anything they needed to buff some of the other hex perks like huntress's lullaby. Like who uses that? It's so worthless. I can see I dont need a sound warning to hit my skill checks. I dont even bother to cleanse that hex. Strong hexes like ruin, devour hope, and noed are good because they give the survivor a second objective. If they nerf all the strong hexes (and there's not that many of then) then they might as well just take totems out of the game. I was hoping the developers would expand on hexes and create even better ones but now it looks like they are just going to nerf them out of the game. Shame.

Lots of people understand why killers (and a lot of survivors as well, for the record) aren't thrilled with the change, they just think it's childish and unjust for them to be taking it out on other players.

i do play surv more, even i have been constantly saying ruin needs a buff and a good one, no one is ever going to be happy about any changes one way or another

Ruin doesn't need a buff though, generator repair times should be looked into. The best solution would be a secondary objective for survivors and if that becomes too difficult for new players, increase the difficulty of that secondary objective based on the rank of the match.

well to me ruin does need a buff, so it lasts or does something longer then 0.2 seconds (kidding there lol) but yes survs need other things to do, i think tool boxes should be just for sabotaging and the devs need to slow down gens......and well as much as i understand the new players thing...i sort of feel like, suck it up......a lot of us went into this game as newbies, when it was more challengin and difficult and we got through, we hsouldn't baby people....it's a game and thigns are meant to be challenging....i was forever making the gens explode when i began, the point more is to make things a little more fun, balance and to do more objectives

I have a lot of survivor but I have more hours in killer
We killer's ran Ruin to simply by us some time to get enough hooks in order to balance objectives. Without Ruin, gens go by too quickly, especially vs optimal teams without any gen rushing perks or items
What I'm trying to say is that killer's have too many objectives and survivor's dont have enough objectives

sorry but buying some time? literally 10 or less seconds, when someone finds it? killers shouldn't rely on it, it's not much of a good perk, it doesn't by enough time as most of my games is that ruin is gone before even someones gotten hit...i agree about the survs needing more objectives though, but killers cant blame survs for gen rush as survs are meant to do gens...we cant help it we dont have anything else to do other then bones and some dont even do them

So if you notice a killer guarding a totem...do gens...punish the killer for not applying pressure. Pretty simple, right?

There was nothing wrong with Ruin in the first place.
However, camping the totem is really flippin stupid IMO. Killer's have been camping hex totems since their introduction though. This is nothing new.
Ruin never broke the single player immersion at all. It didn't even really make the game that difficult. At least not until dedicated servers. Now Ruin is fairly worthless to run. but I feel like they did this change because they are too greedy to get decent servers. Since Dedicated servers got introduced there has been FPS lag when it comes to skill checks. More so than vaulting. I've seen better hosting on private Warcraft servers with twice their player base. And they're mostly located in Europe, while i'm connected through the US.
I guess with the new Doc skill checks, this change was necessary? Idk. What I do know, is the dev needs to step up their "game". This has gone from fun and exciting to dull and boring. Now i play a few times a week if that instead of Daily. I don't see a point in dedicating a lot of time or money to the game when the dev shits the bed with every update.

All I need is 10 seconds to down and hook someone. Once killers get BBQ procs it gets the ball rolling even faster since it makes tracking easier
