Hook tech
Is the tech where u go under a survivor when there getting hooked so the killer cant hit you and exploit. Cause some killer who i did the hook tech on keeps messaging me saying im gonna get banned and that hes friends with the devs.

No, it's stupid and gets you killed once you go against anyone above potato rank.
You can just hit them still, it doesn't block hits, it just makes them have to move up to the hook on either side to swing at you. That's it, it serves no purpose other than to give the killer a free hit.
If you do this and you are injured even better I am getting a second hook out of it.
Survivors trying to "Hook tech" is basically an indication they are still inexperienced.

Ah that's why people are doing that, they think they can't be hit? It doesn't work and is a good way to lose the match, definetly not a exploit.

I may be late but you definitely can do it and not be hit. The survivor just has to be completely braindead to get hit when they're doing it.. You can literally tantrum into the hook as Leatherface, who's chainsaw has the most active hitbox in the entire game, and the survivor won't get hit. It's an exploit, plain and simple, ######### anyone who tries to defend it. But I suppose on the bright side it's a free facecamp because you can bet that the one doing the exploit isn't getting out of the match.

It's impressive how can one think it's not an exploit. So the the killer hits, nothing happens and everything is what it is supposed to be, like a free super mettle of man hit 🙂. Get out of here!

It is unfun and frustrating if it happens to you when you play killer.
Remember how killers were insulted and reported when they "abused" the basement hook bug?
Devs fixed that bug with a hotfix. Why? Because it was frustrating and unfun for survivors.

It wasn't actually frustrating and unfun, it was totally preventing you from playing the game.

there is no skill about it, not saying anyone is bad, it's just once you understand you can hit them from the side 100% of the time, it makes that entire "hook tech" nonsense useless, just a free hit or down for the killer. You can do that at any rank, just takes like 30 seconds to watch a video and you can do it everytime, done, easy fix.
Yeah, but once it happens once just look up a video on how to hit someone or go into a custom game and mess with it for like 60 seconds, and you can never be hook tech'd again as any killer. Like I get it's a stupid thing that should be removed, if only because it's making survivors kill themselves and killers who haven't had to work around it before miss a bunch- but once you know you can hit them from the side it becomes useless.
Seriously:
-Approach either side of hook, get as close as possible
-Swing while aiming slightly towards the hook but not entirely
-Hit with every survivor, every time. I have only missed doing this like, one time, because I hit the hook itself by accident.

I meant for the basement bug, I actually have no problem about the "hook tech" whatsoever.
