You know, this recent trend of discussing how overpowered Eruption is has been surprising to me. At first, during the RE release, I thought that this perk was cool in concept but very hard in practice ESPECIALLY for Killers that have a hard time with traversal.

This is precisely why I love PH, Sadako, and Pig so much. They have kits that are fun to play to begin with, but have such a good payoff if you can pull off their built-in kills.

Correction: Sending out guards does not spend stacks of Play With Your Food. Imagine The Hat having a somewhat similar mechanic to Oni where injuring a survivor harvests "steam" and injured survivors leave trails of "steam" to feed her psychic powers that build with intensity throughout the match. Or powers that use the steam as fuel.

I've utilized the same idea for Dredge, Wesker, and Sadako. Select a gen for ToT, and teleport/dash away while using the long stealth to mislead.

This is precisely how I get the best value out of the power. However (and as I probably should've specified in the original post) I meant to ask if using the Bounds for map traversal OUTSIDE of chase helps much at all. In-chase bounds are great.

This is a very fair point. But you don't exactly have to lose out on the kickass healing! Pair Autodidact with the double Empathy combo. In fact, finishing it with Solidarity is one of my favorite builds ever.
