While I haven't kept up with the tournament scene in a year, I can say with confidence that your argument is fundamentally wrong in your tournament example. Tournaments have different formats and aim to make every killer A-tier by imposing restrictions on teams. Additionally, if Wraith is a pick on a tournament, BOTH teams…

very cool
-
That's literally exactly what you're doing. Completely disregarding stats because they don't suit you. I mean you've never hid how overwhelmingly "Killer Main" you are so obviously a lot of people are gonna roll their eyes at this take. I don't have much of an opinion otherwise. The stats sound about right from what I've…

It's very unhealthy for the game. Camping is an issue that both sides want addressed, and this exacerbates the problem. Grabs shouldn't happen on a healthy survivor. Secure a trade, no point getting a free win because you refused to leave the hook.
-
Probably because survivors have faster queues
-
Because they couldn't get the dopamine they wanted in CS:GO where the playing field is levelled, so they use DBD to win with obnoxiously powerful strategies more than half the playerbase can't really deal with.
-
Because of EGC. You can make an endgame build with Pig and give yourself the most annoying slow search addons. Guaranteed kills without doing anything all game if you just NOED one guy and they start trading to save. The goal of the traps is game delay, not giving cheese kills to people who aren't good enough to get the…
-
We gotta make them think they came up with it otherwise it won't happen. Too many people figured out removing perk tiers was easier and would guarantee grind reduce, so a more convoluted solution had to be found so it was BHVR's very own super unique donut steel Original idea. I just want my ######### BP mang I wanna get…
-
Because if they had skill they'd play a game where it matters. Content creators get money for DBD so it makes sense.
-
The patch just encourages most seasoned players to SWF more unless they just want to meme. So no, if I want to get anything done like archives or get Iri 1, I'll be 100% SWF'ing now. Solo is going to be way too painful.
-
I have to disagree with 1. You could double the time to do a gen and people would still camp and tunnel. A lot. Incentive doesn't really stop people from going the easy route. Especially when the side with one person versing the group feels like a victim half the time. This is 100% a stick over carrot scenario, and…
-
Depends if it benefits them enough to actually do it. David being gay/bi was extremely safe and the LGBT+ (Mostly the first three) are an extremely powerful network in business, so it made sense to get a good image. Especially when playing it double-safe with an already established character that's loved. I'm not so sure…
-
Been running Open Handed + Kindred for about nine months now. I know exactly what goes on in these scenarios and the majority of the time the killer was going to camp anyway. Most killers that say 'You were by hook I had no reason to leave' tend to rationalise their resignation to camp with the actions of others. The vast…
-
In what way are these semantics? Going from -nothing- to -not always- is more than semantics, from nothing to something. And yes, in my experience hook grabs happen more when the killer is married to the hook. It's actually intuitive. And yes, I do know it also happens mid-chase or during a farm. In the end, yes it has to…
-
Nothing to do with camping? In most scenarios of this happening it is by a camper, unless it's an insta-down killer. To say it has NOTHING to do with camping is a downright lie, even if it's not applicable to you. If you've failed to injure the survivor beforehand, then the play is likely to get a trade. I do not think you…
-
Of course it's a terrible mechanic. But it benefits the easiest strategy killers use against weaker teams, and they love to to destroy them. So obviously they won't want to change it. Let's just forget that the 'strong' teams often referenced are never at risk of this sort of grab anyway. If you guys desperately want to…
-
Okay so there's a skill involved with her. I never denied this. I question how big of a feat it is to be decent as a Nurse to the point of 4k'ing most higher level games. It's really not that amazing. Still requires effort, I fully recognize it, but it doesn't entitle one to an abundance of success which is what I…
-
But I'm not? I don't have a personal grievance against THE NURSE beyond not liking her balance, I am annoyed with how people act like getting good with her is some grand feat that deserves unique respect and consideration. It doesn't. It reeks of the same entitlement survivors have. You're not entitled to winning 95% of…
-
-A lot of skill- Compared to what? The Average DBD gameplay? Sure. To anyone who has played multiple video games before with mechanical depth? No. Get over yourself. The killer isn't nearly as hard as the mains try to suggest. It doesn't even take a hundred hours to get stomps in the majority of your games, especially with…
-
They don't know how to. They won't admit it, but they've proven it with the last updates to maps. NONE have been improved in a a BIG way. The BEST update was Ormond, and people still dislike getting it because of how MASSIVE it is. Reminder: They thought Gideon's update was completely fine in 2021. They DO NOT have proper…
-
Remove depips, they're a relic of when ranks kind of mattered for matchmaking.
-
Agreed. They would double gen durations and you'd still have the same amount of Blights and Nurses running 4 slowdown perks. It's just human nature to want to win even if it's overwhelmingly easy. And then they lose one day and make posts like that other guy that wishes the worst to all survivors and wants everything they…
-
Anything that looks fun or cool to you. There is no wrong answer. Don't let 'viability' get in the way, as most people to use that term are just unviable as players rather than the character they play. If you struggle, there are plenty of videos to teach you how to use powers better. If you struggle with general killer…
-
Idk if you're being sarcastic. If not, then you're just projecting. Just because you're losing 99% of the time vs 'mediocre SWFs' doesn't mean others are. Hell, every Nurse main that streams seems to be Bing Chilling, especially Supalf with his 200+ winstreak with MMR most certainly on. 99% my arse. Omega Blink is…
-
I can't tell for sure how good it'll truly be. But the issue is this: DH has been the biggest problem regarding the current Meta. The smartest thing would have been to downright GUT the perk, make it as niche as Smash Hit, and then consider buffing it in another patch. I think it's VERY important to see what a Meta would…
-
It's just a dumb map with silly pallet distribution and quite powerful structures. I don't think it's well designed. It also has no lockers in many areas, much like Haddonfield, which is ridiculous given the new killer. There shouldn't be massive locker deadzones anymore. I'm fine with some areas having less, makes Dredge…
-
Those are not made up terms, they're genuine tactics. People get frustrated over them because they're extremely unpleasant, but they're legitimate and viable tactics used. To disregard them as 'made up' is being a killer equivalent of Sluzzy. Gen rushing isn't truly the issue, it's the map layouts and how easy it is to…
-
That's an incredibly disingenuous way to represent the gripes reasonable people have with Bubba. The real issue is that the moment they lose a chase VS. Bubba that's decided to run Insidious, the game is over for them and everyone is starved of altruism. You can make the argument of 'don't lose chase', but that should not…
-
I don't think that's comparable. One is just playing with the most shameless advantages possible, the other is ignoring more than half the mechanics of the game, leaving the other side with little to work with when it comes to interaction. Both kind of suck, but one definitely plays more 'DBD' than the other.
-
Lots of 'But Nurse' comments which I really didn't want it to spiral down into, but I did make the mistake of mentioning her (even if she'd come up regardless). I'm there was at least some discussion. To address some points: -I don't think Sprint Burst would be nearly as asinine as Dead Hard. I personally believe…
-
Your point is correct. The reason why I wanted to avoid too much Nurse talk is because I didn't want more 'what about-isms' that are inevitable in these threads, and I fully know DH is one of the only things you have to use against Nurse. That said, Dead Hard isn't 'almost exclusively seen' in high end games. The vast…
-
I personally wouldn't mind, I favour lethal pursuer honestly for quick chases. I don't think it's too relevant to the issue, however. Corrupt Intervention is a fix to the mapping of the game and the inability to pressure early game with most killers, dead hard is just a free extension of chase that can have gargantuan…
-
Given the track record with maps, I think it's just safer to remove the perk until it's completely redone. I don't trust the mapping of this game to improve gameplay-wise. The new one is not only unplayable on certain killers, but falls into the usual trap of having ridiculously awful setups with little you can do about…
-
S tier seems accurate. A tier: Pyramid is easily above Hag and Huntress due to very strong anti-loop + free tunnelling. Oni is also better than the mentioned two. Dredge is an odd one but I do think when people really tap into his potential he is in this tier. Where exactly? Not sure. B tier: I think Nemesis is at the top…
-
A lot of these challenges are 'throw the game for a few points'. I don't think the challenge designers actually listen to feedback. Hence why blood debt is still around.
-
A bad fix to a dumb problem that can be remedied by just removing it. Unless you're playing scratched mirror Myers, there's no reason to NEED a map offering for any killer or survivor. It's 100% always going to be to get a massive advantage over the opposing side. Game's already ridiculous enough with the RNG.
-
Hey I think I faced you last night! I was the Nemesis in Wreckers' yard. You guys pumped out gens like it was 2016 BNP times and I ended up protecting the hook. I rarely do this, and it was absurd how fast gens were, even by high MMR standards, as I've been having fast chases and gave up a chase when it was problematic.…
-
Punishes cheese strats. Given how whiny the killer complainers are, are you really surprised that they're defaulting to tunnelling, camping and excessive slugging? These perks counter that.
-
Very little, I hardly got 'countered' during my Plaid Flannel gaming. I wasn't 'good' but I am good at killer and understand maps quite well. Even strong survivors didn't actually last long. Just bring a SWF to gen rush and hope to not get a nurse next game. It's abysmal gameplay, especially solo. But it's also cheap…
-
I'd argue Dredge is the strongest, even with the Licensed. There is dispute when it comes to PH but it's also a lot of speculation. The triangle man is canonically just a manifestation that was ultimately defeated by some guy who murdered his wife. Pinhead is an odd one. I wouldn't quite know where to put him. The Cenobite…
-
Ok cool. Doesn't mean anything, you could have just farmed them like that 500 win steak demo player cringelord did for shreds. Not saying you did, but the statement is zilch, and some big players also downplay glaring issues in the game for their own benefit, didn't say it didn't happen. But I question their motives for it.
-
Nurse - I'm here to play DBD, not the Nurse game. Playing her is also dumb, even with my plaid flannel gaming (because I'm rusty and hate using most of her addons), I win far, far too easily in even good MMR brackets. Sure I'll get owned against the top but that's because I've no desire to improve with this…
-
Remember, there were people who said infinites were fine, DS was fine and 5 blink Nurse was fine. You are doing great work keeping up this trend. Blight's addons are most certainly not fine lol, no well-known Blight main thinks that in good faith.
-
1/ To bait. 2/ Because people love to use busted ######### to win easily so they lie about it. 3/ Current states of Blight and Nurse makes it a necessity to gain time for your team. So they defend it for that reason. 4/ To bait even harder. 5/ They are genuinely ignorant. I think it should be removed personally, and then these…
-
Because they're not very good at the game.
-
I'm sorry I'll hold M1 a bit less hard during the bloodhunt. My index finger can use the rest from this intense M1 holding.
-
I strongly recommend you chase as much as you can while ignoring the more annoying ones. I have found that it's usually one or two that do this in a team and the others are just playing normally. Often the annoying ones will get in your way and give you free hits, which are definitely opportunities for you. That said, the…
-
I'm sorry but that's not really 'tense' so much as it's 'Oh great another tunneller mori guy' to make this game dull. And then I ponder whether to DC in loading, consequently costing the killer at least 5 minutes of waiting + slower queues since I play when survivor queues are fast. Literally nothing was threatening about…
-
Nothing is scary after playing the game for over 300 hours. The Nurse isn't scary, just hard to face. The only 'scares' left are jumpscares from stealth killers and hag's traps.

Nice necro
