Maybe there should be some way for them to actively force themselves into the survivor's POV, or take advantage of the fact they can't be seen without risking the music box going off.

I'm just one guy who came up with a killer idea and thought it sounded good enough to share. Maybe there's just more people who are into the idea of FNAF being in the game than you expected? Edit: We already have a giant elephant and a man dressed up as an elf.

Having thought about it a little more recently Springtrap would be a way more impressive killer visually. Then the rest could be introduced as legendary outfits.

You'd keep the souls, even if it were just implied in the character's backstory. And I don't see what the issue is with having the animatronics kill in DBD when they're already demonstrated to be doing the same thing in the game they're pulled from.

But they do literally kill the player in the first game. Besides, the Entity has complete omnipotence in it's own realm - it can force the killers to do whatever it desires, which can be particularly seen with Wraith. Another comparison I'd draw for the aesthetic of the FNAF characters would be the relatively recent Mr.…

The blackout should only begin if the survivors have really ######### up - the timer on the music boxes should be quite forgiving without addons, so that when they do hit zero, it's purely because of mistakes survivors made or plays the killer made to deliberately herd them away from boxes. Hence, when it does occur, there…

Could have the map play like a less terrible version of Ormond, with the Pizzeria as the central building with cramped corridors and tight loops, then have an exterior area opening out onto a car park with car loops and such.
-
You could have a simple jumpscare into down as you suggest, but I think it would be far more scary and entertaining for there to be an interaction between the killer and the survivor when the lights go out. Part of the idea when I came up with it was to provide new killers a powerful enough starting point for people to…

We're already getting 4 Legion cosmetics that look eerily similar to Toy Bonnie thanks to the Silent Hill chapter, I was thinking you'd have FNAF 1 Freddy as the base killer and then have the three others from the first game as legendary outfits. Not sure about a survivor if it were to be based on the game, I think it…

Only one survivor can be downed during the blackout. And it can be completely avoided with enough coordination between the survivors.

There is no timer on the blackout: the blackout ends as soon as the killer downs a survivor. I don't think the timers would need to be global if they were long enough (in discussions with others about this I initially suggested each both have a timer of 2.5 minutes, but they said that would be too long).
