I've always been of the opinion that it's a 1 v 3 v 1 game, but that notion seems to get lost on the devs. The fact that you dying on hook is entirely up to the killer or the other survivors is enough proof.

Among other things, but yes. I used to play each day, 2-3 hours. Survivor experience is so bad I now play less than 3 hours A WEEK. So yes, it's killing the game because it really drives survivors away from the game.

But then killers wouldn't have free kills, which is extremely problematic.

Yup, killers still get to have that kill, survivors have to deal with a less than helpful bot (that will get killed no matter what) and you still have to wait out the penalty, which is mind blowing is still there. And you can't even spectate while waiting.
