For me NOED is similar to the perks like MoM, DS & Adrenaline. It's basically a second chance to do what you couldn't do in the first place.
-
I don't want to come across badly however I have this feeling that killer mains (which I'd like to consider myself) give too much thought to how the survivors feel. I by no means saying we should tunnel someone out of the game just because or that we should camp but if we are being honest with ourselves how many survivors…
-
I thought it'd be something like that to be honest but thought I'd suggest the dumb thing first.
-
Is this a drawing? It looks amazing either way!
-
Unpopular opinion but this game shouldn't be balanced. It should 100% be in the killers favour. After all it's mean to be a HORROR game and the game is 4 people versus 1 person. I'm not talking about making it impossible to survive but it should be that surviving isn't easy and that surviving actually means you've worked…
-
So in my honest experience I've found that killers are less likely to be toxic in the endgame chat but are more likely to be toxic in the game itself which can be worse in some cases but on the same note Survivors are both toxic in-game and in endgame chat and by toxic I'm not talking about looping. I'm referring to there…
-
@Orion Well, I wasn't gonna say anything.
-
The amount of times I've been called a camper because I've spotted a survivor nearby is honestly ridiculous, survivors know they are playing against real people who have the ability to use their eyes and ears to see and hear people right? I tried to explain that to a group once. I was called a wallhacker and that I must be…
-
When I say they are crutch perks I am referring to the fact that a lot of killers struggle to find survivors without Nurses calling and BBQ. I know there are counters to them and a good survivor can counter but those perks allow the killer to have a general idea where someone is and using Ruin, BBQ, Nurses and NOED at the…
-
So in my opinion there are too many crutch perks. BBQ, Ruin, NOED and nurses calling and the problem is that these can all be used at the same time on any killer. Now I'd suggest making it so teachable's aren't a thing but that'd cause it's own set of problems. All we can do is play the game and hope that some re-vamping…
-
Firstly, I think that DCing is pathetic in any case. It shows just how entitled Survivors think they are. I mean god forbid they play a game that's not stacked in their favour but will play a game they know they can win. Killers feel forced to use certain perks because of how stacked the game is in favour of survivors. I…

Is camping annoying as hell, yes it is. Is being infinite looped by a skill-less survivor annoying as hell yes. Will the survivor stop and consider the fun of the killer while doing so? No. So Camping does not need defended. You wanna punish a camping killer, do the gens and get out.
-
I've edited this cause I'm a bit tilted after having a 3 out of 4 SWF's group dc from my game because I was playing leatherface but still I'm surprised that naming and shaming is a thing on here, considering you only really wanna do it when someone has said some nasty things.
-
I've not seen a stream do anything that would require a ban though, are you just assuming all streamers are toxic? There is a difference in playing a game and taking advantage of what the game gives you even if it's a cheap way of playing than say calling someone the N word or telling them to go kill themselves.
-
The problem with arm waving is that it can indicate to the killer someone is near by, meaning it'll cause a killer who might not have camped to stay in the area to try and find said person.
-
Don't hide their names, they don't deserve the curtsy of that.
-
In most of my games both as Survivor and killer I've come up against survivors who'll focus solely on doing the gens, I've been hooked first in a game and died on my first hook because my "teammates" wanna finish gens over saving me for the event points but in saying that, that's not the dev's fault.
-
I might be wrong but this event is so pointless to play as a killer...So why bother? I mean we seem to have to work harder to get lower points than survivors. We corrupt the vassel thingies than they turn back to normal by the time you've found one. Also, do you get points for every hooked person? I mean let's be honest…
-
I can see what your saying but still, Why add to it. If you enjoy the game, do what you can while playing to not be part of the problem. If your part of the problem then as far as I'm concerned I have no time for you.
-
Firstly, It wouldn't matter what system they had in place, people would find a reason to dislike it one that replaced it and secondly why would you wanna add more? If you like this game then do what you can to be part of the solution not the problem.
-
In a game that has so much toxicity as it is. You want to encourage more?
-
You where hostile in your post, insulted people before anyone said anything to you and you expect people to be nice towards you? And you call everyone else idiots.
-
@powerbats I never said looping wasn't legitimate and I'm sorry but you are trying to defend stupidity by calling a camper skill-less. Looping is skill-less and it's not the killer's fault they know that survivors will stupidly run to a hook while he's standing there. Survivors need to learn to punish killers for camping…
-
That person wasn't very nice and I don't want to defend his actions or words but something I will say is that we don't know how many survivors before you played toxic and caused him to rage. Maybe no one did. All I'm saying is in Dead by Daylight we have this vicious circle of hate followed by hate and you did nothing…
-
Gonna be up front, didn't read it. Camping doesn't need nerfing. Survivors just need to be smarter. Quick edit on this. I'm sorry I didn't read the post you made and I respect wanting to try and fix something you see as broken but camping is legit and after having game after game of teabagging annoying self-righteous...…
-
I'm not on X-Box but the other day on PC I had a random person in my game trying to help me find his teammates. I tunneled and camped him. I am not ashamed to admit it. :P
-
The only time I don't GG a killer is if I was tunneled or camped and when I say that I mean it was blatant and with the clear intention of ruining my game and not at all a strategy and as weird as this might sound I rarely GG when I play killer cause if I've killed them I always feel like I'm bragging. It's stupid cause…
-
They gave you no reason to leave the hook, sometimes camping is the smart play as it was in this situation. You gotta play the hand your dealt and they were stupid about how they played.
-
For me I just see the signal as "SURVIVORS NEARBY" but I guess everyone's different and while I'd personally prefer to see this stop I understand why you guys would wanna keep it going, especially if it's a tactical thing.
-
Okay, kinda expected this response. So the problem is survivors start doing it the moment they are free to do so. All it takes for a killer is to see it once and they'll know someone's nearby. As a Killer, I've both camped and tunneled when the situation has called for it but I was really just trying to be helpful. Do…
-
True enough however we'll know the killer is camping the second we get within range though. So I feel like it's pointless to give the killer another reason.
-
Thanks, I mean I get camping isn't liked and I personally only do so in certain situations when it's sensible, I try not to tunnel but sometimes they are the easier target and you just can't help but go for them because of it. I just get confused as to why anyone would call anyone ######### after they just got beaten.
-
I've played this game since it launched on and off but I'm only now really starting to get into killer so I'm starting to see more and more of what others are saying is happening to killers. I'd rather play killer cause it's fun and survivor seems kinda simple most of the game.
-
I actually watched a bit of Vincent's stream during the tournament. He's so bloody funny. I need to watch more!
-
Marth didn't hit the survivor because he was at the hatch which meant due to the rules he won. At no point did anyone say anything about the hatch having to be physically open until right at the point it happened. The hatch does not need to be open for it to be a standoff. The standoff starts the moment both Survivor and…
-
Alright, firstly. I have never watched Marth nor really know who he is other than he's a DbD streamer. So with that said I feel like from watching the clip that it was a clear hatch standoff which he won. The problem comes down to the "officials" not understanding the rules quick enough to call the match when it happened.…
-
I thought things like teabagging was considered BM and therefore against the rules? So shouldn't they have been DQ's the moment the person teabagged?
-
It's not excuses though. People have asked. They've given a response. It's not their fault you guys keep going on and on and on and on and on and on and on takes a deep breath and on and on and on and on about it.
-
Okay, so a person complaining about anything that gives him a challenge. I feel dirty just replying to this.
-
All I see is people saying "they aren't telling us the truth" and speaking like they have all the facts. They've said why the console players haven't got the update. They aren't allowing any of us access to the shrine until it releases to console players and it even appears they have held back the anniversary event too.…
-
In the last twitch dev stream, they explained that due to how much this update affects the game and how big it is the process is going to sadly take longer. They also explained how future updates won't take this long as they have ways to push them through. It's only due to how big this patch is and how much it affects the…
-
Half of them say it because they need to feel like they accomplished something. The other Half do it to gain a rise out of you. It's honestly best to ignore them and not give them ammo to feed off.
-
@rezmax See, that's the problem. Survivors do have more options. It's just easier to loop than to attempt anything else. I'm not the best survivor in the world but I never let myself rely on looping so I can at times get away from killers without it.
-
@rezmax Because the whole point of the game for a killer is to kill. If you're going to debate what I said that's fine but please don't try to do so with such a terrible attempt. Just because someone play's "fair" doesn't mean they've automatically earned the right to a free escape. Your laying the blame on killers like…
-
@rezmax It's a vicious circle. Survivors act like complete douchebags causing the killers to reply in kind. I very much think it's silly to blame one side or another. As a person who tries to play both sides equally, I've seen me trying to play without camping or tunneling only to get called noob and teabagged and getting…
-
Being honest I don't see this as tunneling, your teammate unhooked you before the killer had a chance to get away from the hook, you ran away from the hook then back towards it and the killer found you. If anything your teammate was the problem and your dcing because you got downed was extremely lame.
-
I can't wait until it's implemented. The number of survivors who rely on it, man I'm almost drooling with the expectations of seeing them try that stuff.
-
My point was just that survivors feel like they can act however they want within a game and then get treated with respect. At the end of the day, this is a PvP Competitive game. I don't play CoD and say "Don't shot me, I dodged your bullet that first time"
-
Killers job is to kill. Not to let someone away because they decided to try jumping off the hook. If you chose to do that then fair enough but don't expect me to let you go. Maybe if Survivors stopped being complete asses during games Killers might be a little more willing to be nice..Just sayin.
-
I truly believe no killer needs nerfing. In fact, every killer needs to be buffed. Surviving is meant to be hard. This game wasn't meant to be balanced. The killer is supposed to win. Surviving has become so easy that people lost sight of what this game was supposed to be.
