Technically yeah but it feels more like gliding over it rather than Blight fully coming into contact with the map hitbox. It feels like more or less the fault of weird map collision, like how in Eyrie of crows or Nostromo wreckage you can straight up crash into invisible map collision.
-
It's a lot harder to do but it can give a huge advantage in some situations. I don't count rebound as a tech since it feels more like an intended feature rather than a bug.
-
The whole point of my post wasn't to debate whether 180 blight flicks and hug techis balanced or not but what exactly constitutes a techs removal. If 180 and hug tech were too strong on Blight then what about Oni and Wesker?
-
This guy also talks about some of the issues SM has.
-
Of course, the vast majority of the community are a bunch of casual players who don't really care about what or who they go up against, but just going by how her kill rate is nearly 70 percent and how any discourse around her is almost always an entirely negative experience then it can be assumed that a good chunk of the…
-
In her first form she was just a 3 genning machine and in her second form she stills feels completely awful to go against despite not being able to 3 gen as easily. That's like saying "People still hate going against Freddy even after he's been changed, hes not the monster he used to be anymore." Of course, people are…
-
Ehh, I kinda disagree with the Sadako point. Her having a lullaby destroys any stealth potential she has, and sure, in-game she's undetectable far more making it more consistent, but that doesn't mean it's more effective. Against good Survivors Sadako might as well only be a Killer who can teleport and maybe get the rare…
-
Just make her a more skillful Killer to play as and rewarding players who master her while also making her counterplay something more enjoyable. Look at the Hillbilly rework, they turned him from a pretty mediocre Killer to now a Killer who is arguably sitting at the very top of A tier.
-
The difference is that SM does so in one of the most unhealthy ways possible. Most Killers suffer from this, but a lot of them are at least at a somewhat "healthy-ish" state, but SM is still considered by a vast majority of the community to be completely insufferable to go up against. Of course, BHVR could just do the most…
-
She destroys uncoordinated Survivors extremely easily while also simultaneously getting destroyed by good teams. That alone makes her a prime target for needing a rework.
-
Aight, where's your proof for that? Or I guess we could just make incorrect assumptions. She was hated then for 3 genning, and she is hated now for the reasons I already stated. If she had a Skillful power that had a lot of depth to it, rewarding the Killer for mastering it whilst also giving the survivors a nice amount of…
-
True, it applies to Trapper, the only difference being that he's the worst Killer in the game by far and still requires a lot of thinking on the Killer side. He needs to carefully consider where his traps go and even then it usually isn't enough. Plus, the loop-canceling power he has is situational. He has two options,…
-
Freddy obviously deserves a rework more so than anything else in the game, but it doesn't mean SM can't be scrutinized either. I consider DC's and Hook suicide to be the same essentially considering how lobotomized the bots are. Either way, she still needs to be looked at eventually. And yeah, I wouldn't mind if BHVR did…
-
Of course, she isn't the strongest Killer in the game and has counterplay, but that still doesn't change the fact that her power design is extremely flawed. Her power is hastily thrown together and requires BHVR to take a step back and seriously decide what they even want this Killer to be. For example, why is she a better…
-
As you can guess my Survivor experience isn't usually one that's fun most of the time, especially since for whatever reason I almost never come across Billy, Blight, and Oni.
-
Sorry for that then, but your original message stated it was something that the "Killer" player base was trying to get rid of, so it sounded like you were assuming on my end. Regardless though it's a clear exploit because not only is it not intended at all, but there is no counterplay to it if it happens. Anyone who…
-
Well, the difference between a tech that should stay and a tech that should go is how effective it is. The window tech was something I was really fond of, and so were a lot of other players because sure, it could help out a ton if the Killer didn't know about it but there was counterplay to it. If the Killer knew you were…
-
Already assuming I'm a Killer main huh? You could at least bother to check my posts and easily see that I'm not one, but alright. This "tech" has been complained about for a while, this isn't some knee jerk reaction to hug tech being removed. You can see that the video above is more than year old. If you're going to defend…
-
That's not what crouch teching is. Crouch teching is abusing the fact that the hitboxes in DBD are badly designed and in return your able to completely avoid a hit just by crouching.
-
Exactly, I feel like it'd be a great investment as it'd just bring so many more players onto DBD. Not only would it be great for casual players who'd just wanna have some goofy games but I'd be great for the comp scene as well. Imagining the games that would come out of this would be great, like a Demogorgon who's shred…
-
I feel ya on all of this. Years ago when I first started playing DBD in 2019 I had such a blast playing it as a Survivor main. Then after around 40 hours, I decided I wanted to try learning Killer too, which was also a blast. It wasn't perfect by any means and given how bad the balance was for a while there were definitely…
-
I changed the title to be a little more accurate. Apart from the portal one I feel as if most of these aren't exactly game changing, just really powerful.
-
-Damaging over and or through walls is extremely rare, and very, very map dependant. -His teleport has a large amount of stagger making using it for anti loop very difficult unless you have his brown addon, making him somewhat addon dependant like Knight. -His teleports can be removed very quickly by survivors -His…
-
I'm having some fun with him, but not as much as I thought I would. Not sure about anybody else but it really feels like his main power is his teleportation and not his ranged attack which feels really...bad.
-
I'm pretty sure if you hold out your power as your hallucination is about to come out it'll stop the timer, then once you release the power button it'll continue the hallucination timer. It's pretty useful to do if you wanna guard a certain gen or place it around a corner in a loop or something. And yeah, I gotta agree…
-
This would unironically be awesome to have, unfortunately, DBD is already apparently an extremely "frail" game to the point where the game somehow couldn't handle Nemesis having a third zombie so it'd probably never even be able to happen unfortunately.
-
The Twin's whole playstyle revolves heavily around slugging and camping, more so than any other killer in the game. For Survivors, if your not constantly making sure to be healed up you'll just end up losing the match because Victor is unloopable and gets downs incredibly easy, and for Killers if your not slugging and…
-
Like you said it's a terrible addon that helps survivors a lot. The worst thing that can happen to any Killer is if all the survivors spawn by themselves because that means that no matter who you chase you'll still have 3 unpressured survivors meaning that by the end of your first chase, you'll probably have only 2 gens…
-
Deja vu got a buff because it wasn't just Gen defense Killers taking advantage of the 3-gen meta, it was everyone. It wasn't a Gen defense Killer meta, it was a 3-gen meta influenced by Overcarge, Eruption, and Call of Brine. They just so happened to thrive in it. Yup, you hit the nail on the head. All the Killers I…
-
It's one thing to dislike Wesker, but really? Finding Hillbilly not fun is pretty uncommon. I mean, the sheer fact that not only Killers complained about his nerf but also Survivors speaks volumes. Everyone back in the day absolutely hated what happened to him.
-
That's fair, I should've stated it but I meant pre nerf Hillbilly. I used to main him and I still kinda do but it's just not the same anymore. With maps like Tobas landing and him just being not strong enough to counter it, he's just not worth picking up.
-
Not only are you confusing an extreme minority of the community with the majority but you're literally just cherry-picking examples. Just because one survivor complained here or there doesn't mean they represent the bigger player base. First of all, Blight is the only one who gets hate from survivors and it's not evenly…
-
Yeah, I guess you could say that I'm saying gen defender Killers shouldn't exist. Killers like SM whose whole gimmick revolves around delaying the game as much as humanely possible are awful for the health of the game, and no, gen defense Killers aren't the meta at all, not sure where you pulled that out from. Do you…
-
Yeah, but they're considerably more difficult to hit and feel way worse to use overall. When I say I wish 180s for these Killers would return I mean what they used to be like before they got "patched out."
-
True, but with Oni it feels really difficult to hit and overall feels not that good to use, and Blight can still hit 180's although his 180's now are way worse and slower than before. J flicks were so damn fun to use and all the other techs he's lost too...
-
180s with Oni are pretty difficult to hit, not like what they used to be. It feels much worse to use than when he first got it.
-
Literally not true at all, people just don't want Killers like Skull Merchant or Knight who have extremely irritating and boring counterplay. Killers who have nothing but anti-loop are also boring because the counterplay will always without fail be to just hold W which isn't enjoyable for anyone. People want Killers like…
-
< New Asymmetrical multiplayer game comes out < Wowzers this game is so awesome and cool! I betcha this will finally be the game that kills DBD! < One month passes and the player base for said game drops by 90% < Second month hits and the game is completely dead and deserted. It happened to VHS, it happened to home sweet…
-
I'm biased towards Blight and because of that I didn't really see anyone else on the list who deserved to get nerfed, so I just picked a Killer I didn't really like.
-
Please play Hillbilly on these maps and say the same thing.
-
Blight should have all of his techs (excluding the lag flick bc that requires third-party software) should be brought back. Blight doesn't need nor deserve his hug tech being removed. Most people over-exaggerate just how difficult it is to play Killer. Most Killers are miserable to play against. Adding a FNAF chapter to…
-
In my opinion, it's Trapper mainly because of the fact that his base power is already not really that good, especially with how many maps just don't have thick grass anymore. Myers at least has the benefit of not being that map dependent and having a bit of anti-loop and lethality when he finally makes it to T3 but Trapper…
-
Man, you really hit the nail on the head. It's beyond frustrating how BHVR seemingly never takes into consideration how a map will affect any of the Killers in the game and ends up, like you said, creating a map that somehow screws everyone over. It's especially frustrating when you're playing a Killer that relies on…
-
"Well good then. They made his overheat less punishing while revving and tweaked a couple add-ons. A good first step." I'm sorry but how exactly are you not defending this change? You said yourself that this was a good first step when it wasn't. I still don't understand the point you make because I could pull up an endless…
-
Yeah except the problem is that after the last overheat changes they did it become irrelevant. Rarely would it ever affect most Hillbilly players and whenever it did the overheat meter would go down fairly quickly. So the changes that they made here aren't even going to do anything besides making it more annoying to get…
-
Do me a favor and look in the "Feedback and Suggestions" part of the forums. Do you see anybody happy with the changes to Hillbilly and if so compare that number to how many aren't happy with the changes. I seriously don't understand the point you're trying to make here. Are you saying that these changes are good or what?…
-
How was this asked for? You keep framing it as if people weren't clear with what they wanted and simply just said "Hey BHVR, we want Hillbilly changes. Positive? Negative? Nah, we just want changes." The community was very explicit about what they wanted. You had big streamers and or YouTubers like ScottJund and Otz…
-
They're nerfing both the engraving addons, if anything that means that this whole change is a massive nerf to Hillbilly. The engraving addons are by far Hillbillys most important and fun addons and instead of just changing overheat they had to bring down the nerf hammer on them for no reason.
-
I was gonna put it in my post that it's probably because of how much screen clutter the knight has. It's kinda weird how I'm fine with every other Killer except for him, and as for the green symbols on his left hand, I don't really seem to notice them much.
-
Other than BT being partially base kit Survivors haven't received a single perk base kit other than unbreakable which hasn't even been added to the game yet and was specifically designed so as to not make slugging 10x more powerful with the game end feature they put in. Putting in base kit perks for Killers is a terrible…
