There's already more than 1 chest per survivor, though. I think it might get too OP if all survivors could bring in an item, plus find 2 more each in the trial.

On the one hand, I could see how it would be good game design to force a time cost, if the player gets a benefit from it, like an item. I like the idea of lesser-used items being a bigger part of the game. Keys definitely deserve more gameplay than they seem to get, and I like the idea of consuming them to help open exit gates faster. It would really help when the killer is patrolling between gates in the endgame.

I like to be immersed when I play a game, and for me, any kind of messaging that tries to make the real world intrude into my "stuck in a hell trial" roleplay would be a real draw back to my experience.

I think the point of so many brown addons is that it drains your BP, so you have to keep playing the game. But I also see how people would get annoyed by that. What if there was a lottery system where you sacrifice 2 addons of one color, and then get to choose 1 of 3 random addons one color higher? That way you put those…
