I'm in no way implying that DBD is competitive, but look at any E-sports gamer and what settings they use. You'd never find a pro player using TAA or FXAA in a PvP game, maybe lossless AA like MSAA if they can afford it but then again that method can kill your FPS, so maybe not. Also I'm going to name drop Wolfenstein: The…

The only workaround is using Nvidia or SweetFX filters. Here's my Luma Sharpen settings @ 2560x1440. [LumaSharpen.fx] offset_bias=1.000000 pattern=1 sharp_clamp=0.050000 sharp_strength=1.500000 show_sharpen=0

The only thing we can do to mitigate the vaseline on the screen is using Nvidia or SweetFX filters. Here's my settings for Luma Sharpen @ 1440P. [LumaSharpen.fx] offset_bias=1.000000 pattern=1 sharp_clamp=0.050000 sharp_strength=1.500000 show_sharpen=0

The only thing gayer than David King is forced AA.

It's a good perk but you really need to make a build around it, since it isn't a very good standalone perk. My favorite and pretty much only Third Seal build utilizes Piggy and her blindness addons. This build will cause salt, be warned. Addons - Face Mask & Rules Set No 2 Try not to use traps until Third Seal is cleansed…

They are adding an option to disable or enable AA from within the game. Until then, the latest hotfix does allow you to add the couple of lines necessary to the Engine.ini to disable AA.

I'm thankful that the devs finally addressed anti-aliasing.

I left this comment in another thread but I'd like to post it here as well. Valve released an update for CS:GO many moons ago, back when it was not free to play. It introduced FXAA, which is very similar to TAA post processing anti-aliasing, the type of AA we're complaining about. Now I used to play CS. FXAA enabled by…

Let me give an example. Valve released an update for CS:GO many moons ago, back when it was not free to play. It introduced FXAA, which is very similar to TAA post processing anti-aliasing, the type of AA we're complaining about. Now I used to play CS. FXAA enabled by default one day after an update and I noticed my game…

I'm assuming they were trying to optimize the hair but somehow overlooked the fact that it looked horrible without anti-aliasing. Upon this realization, they didn't revert the hair changes but instead forced AA on all settings. People, like myself, were forced to edit the engine.ini file to remove the AA. And now they've…

Anti-Aliasing smooths edges on objects. MSAA is the preferred method but can be expensive to render (performance cost). FXAA and TAA are cheaper methods but a lot of people, including myself, prefer not to use these methods of AA, as they are a filter that just smears vaseline over the screen. Probably less noticeable on…

You know, I play on low settings to maintain a solid 60 fps. I prefer smooth gameplay over pretty graphics, always have. I occassionally dip to the 50s on Medium settings or higher. I guess I'll have to use higher settings to reduce the blur creating laggy gameplay, deal with the god awful blur on low settings, or purchase…

I remember that post. It is my fault that they just slapped AA on ☹️ And I quote myself, "I decided to edit the GameUserSettings.ini to try to determine why the hair looks so bad on low. Turns out the magic option is Anti-Aliasing. Medium settings and above force AA on. I manually turned off AA by changing that value to…

I decided to edit the GameUserSettings.ini to try to determine why the hair looks so bad on low. Turns out the magic option is Anti-Aliasing. Medium settings and above force AA on. I manually turned off AA by changing that value to "0" and leaving the other settings at "1", which is Medium. The hair looks bad with AA off.…
