I admit I forgot that boon even existed. On the other hand I also wanted to 'take the bait' as I wanted to see for myself just how strong that setup was. Not to mention, I clearly lost focus in the later stages of the match. Also, to anyone about to comment on how poorly I played, please don't, it's about what happened…

Bottles did not help, mentioned that already in my original post. Edit: Not all killers have bottles to increase speed while carrying, either.

It's a videogame, play it the way it's more fun for you. Simple as. Personally, I like to occasionally fool around, leave hatches and doors to survivors who make bold plays to save their friends and such. But I do know that what goes for me might not suit someone else, for instance those who like to slug and go for 4ks.

Addendum: I am not sure about Survivors, as none of them had any event items equipped for me. I can only assume it is the same for them, but I wasn't able to test it.
