I feel like everyone is ignoring a very obvious answer...aura reading perks/addons. I already have hearing damage in my left ear pretty badly and I just run an aura reader or two and I don't usually have a problem keeping up with survivors.

I run distortion and one thing I've learned is that you can't rely too heavily on it when a killer is running a full aura build. Once you have determined what perks they have, you need to play in a way that preserves them. If you know they have BBQ, then jump in a locker when someone's being carried to a hook. Nowhere to…

I wouldn't be against something like that considering I only play offerings if I've been to the same map a few times in a row or if I'm trying for a specific rift. I get to the point where I just can't stand to run through the corn anymore. Survivor or killer side. Onryo on Coldwind sucks butt. XD

Sounds like a visceral canker. They were added for a halloween event a while back. As far as I'm aware they only spawn if someone selects the challenge from the archive.
