That's because survivor matches are just boring if you play solo, so they just goof around and let the killer hook them because doing gens is boring and gives you less reward then unhook and heal your team mate. A quick hook/unhhook+heal game rewards you more then just try to do gens or try to escape the killer.

As far as I could see Survs also loose their BP, but they were still shown in the endgame screen for the other players. At least it was that way when I played survs. I'm not sure what about the items and add-ons, but I guess they are gone aswell and that really s***s when it's no ones fault that the game crashed.
