This is absolutely a more healthy way to play the game and typically what I aim for when I play killer.
-
Or even see them for more than half a second. I've had more than a few occasions where the first time he sees me, he one-taps his stalk to T3 and insta-kills for the first time. It's probably the more frustrating thing in the entire game.
-
God... it's almost like... making it so we can't afford to do anything but gens, because everything else wastes more and more time with every patch, means that if you don't rush the gens asap, it ends with a 4k nearly every game. I also would love to have your survivors in my games. I usually end up having to do 3-4 gens…
-
That would still be disgusting if paired with Mindbreaker. Like Surveillance on crack...
-
I'm glad you agree that all gen regression perks are a problem... because why wouldn't you run them?
-
I absolutely love how well that was said. Bravo.
-
You are ignoring the fact that for Dead Hard to do anything, you need to already not be under an endurance effect/deep wound. If you tunnel the survivor, and hit them before the borrowed time wears off, they cannot dead hard until they mend. It won't do anything. It is entirely within your power to never see a dead hard go…

Disagree. In my experience games are usually a blowout one way or the other. It's very, very rare for a game to feel like it was a hard fought victory or loss. It's very rare to have a 'good game'. Usually the killer stomps or gets stomped. I almost never see a game where people are just starting to die right before the…
-
Of course there are. You could just meme the rest of the game. Run laps around the map. You could just sit on a gen and ignore the killer entirely, regardless of their presence. That last one you have no way of dealing with and they were literally more useful still than 90% of solo queue players.
-
Or more likely to just find other ways to not try. You can't force people to try any more than you can force them to have fun.
-
A player that's given up has given up regardless of whether you make them waste time in the game. Everyone keeps trying to treat the symptoms and not the problem. Figure out why they aren't trying in the first place.
-
I don't think Dead by Daylight, by its' very nature, is capable of being 'fair'. There are too many variable from items/perks/addons/which killer/which map/which random tile placement you get for there to ever be any level of fairness or competitiveness to it. That's before we get into the challenges that practically make…
-
I think BHVR is trying to tell you that you should be generating pressure without making survivors spend the entire game holding M1 on the same gens. Almost as if, after all the myriad nerfs to loops, pallets, and windows, you should be getting people down faster so you can generate this pressure... and if you can't...…
-
There's this think called MMR. If you play well enough, eventually you get to face people that are supposed to be challenging for you. If you don't want that, then stop sweating so much. Let people escape when they're all on death hook instead of slugging for that 4k after you've tunneled out the first three one by one. If…
-
Huntress and Trickster run Iron Maiden all the time. Not all perks need to be equally good on every killer.
-
For you. Remember, MMR and region both affect your incentive bonuses. I will have a different bonus than my friend does and that bonus will often change once we party up. It just means in your specific MMR bracket and in the region you play, there are less killers in queue at that moment. Also remember that while the…

The game has almost always been nothing but unfun gameplay. It's basically an act of masochism to play this game at all. It was one of the "describe this game using only three single words" part of the survey I answered back earlier in the week. "Masochism. Grindy. Toxic." That's all this game has ever been. I will never…

Instant heals were nerfed a long time ago. There used to be two of them and they were LITERALLY instant. Gen speeds have been nerfed multiple times. They upped the time it takes from 80-90 seconds, toolboxes were massively nerfed a ways back, Brand New Parts were nerfed a long time ago. All boons are trash come patch where…
-
You do realize that most people do play both sides, right? Just because there are 4 survivors for every killer in a match does not mean that they are a perfect split of 80-20 and never cross sides. Primetime often has incentive bonus for killers, because more people are playing with friends. Off hours often has a survivor…
-
Depends on what killer you're running. Most of the top builds for better killers largely just focus on finding surivors ASAP to keep the pressure rolling. Best builds for killers like nurse and huntress, for example, all just use aura perks for the most part. The better you are, the less gen slowdown you need because you…
-
7 our of 10 survivors die on average. 70%. That's their own numbers not counting games with DC's. So the actual death rate is higher. Complaining that killers get to win almost every game, but not EVERY game, is essentially demanding the game to be impossible to lose as a killer.
-
Or do gens. You forgot that we can't do gens either. Just run around like flightless birds in a pen as they run around with shotguns.
-
and at every other MMR, you're just ants waiting for the killer's magnifying glass to burn you. The flies waiting to have your wings torn off. Kill rates are at the highest they've ever been, even at top end. The killer playerbase will never be happy until Survivors are literally unable to do anything but die. No gens. No…
-
Bad analogy. Seriously. Stop trying to make it sound like killer isn't laughably easy to play 99% of the time now. You can faceroll to 4k most games it's a joke.
-
Good survivors just will not heal. We'll just put on resilience and bang out the gens even faster because you have worse options to slow the game down. If you thought gen rushing was bad before this patch, just wait until most of your games are over in 3-4 minutes.
-
Yes, abusing one broken offering if and when you found one and spent 7k blood points for it is so much stronger than being able to win while half asleep 90% of the time. You can win without add-ons or offerings just fine now and reliably. If you can't and I, who played mostly survivor for the ~2400 hours I have played,…
-
If you thought genrush was bad before. Just you wait. With healing being a complete waste of time now, I hope you like everyone running repair speed buffs and just genrushing with toolboxes 24/7.
-
I don't care about the cream of the crop ranks where a miniscule amount of players are. Even then, the average kill rate is still pushing SEVENTY PERCENT. That's an overwhelming majority of survivors you encounter, you kill. Excuse me while I play the world's smallest violin for you because it's not 80% or more. Oh..…
-
Don't be obtuse. You know I mean BHVR.
-
It's pretty close to there already. I've been very much enjoying the free wins and near constant 100% bonus bloodpoints playing killer a lot more these last several months.
-
Which of course, BHVR will respond to by nerfing BNP, resilience, and adrenaline, and then give a 1% nerf to NOED's haste buff to make things appear unbiased.
-
Killer has been in its' best spot ever. The game is literally handed to them on a silver platter most of the time. I've switched to playing killer outside of challenges or when a friend is around because solo queue is utterly unbearable and keep getting worse with every new patch.
-
I can't thought. They've made it nearly impossible to enjoy.
-
I'm happy to see Dead Hard nerfed into the ground. I've never enjoyed the 'exhausted on the ground' gameplay that it almost always resulted in for me, so I didn't use it much, and not at all after the distance part was removed last year. It was frustrating to play against as a killer and I'm happy to see anything that…
-
I didn't mind her initial design, but I think SM is actually more oppressive after Wednesday's changes than she was before. You still need spot on coordination to break the three gen if she does it from the start, but now she's insanely fast. They gave her too much stuff all at once. Expose effects, speed buffs,…
-
Better off just running adrenaline and resilience and just never leave gens.
-
I don't think the medkit nerfs make any sense. How often do you bring a medkit to heal other people? Now every single medkit has the same speed healing yourself and the same number of charges. The brown one is just as useful, and cheaper, than the purple or green. They might as well just remove the ability to heal from the…
-
Only to be nerfed shortly afterward to make it only bonus repair speed if the killer is in chase with you.
-
All this does is make the meta back to 'run adrenaline, genrush like mad'. I, for one, will just stop playing. I've given this company hundreds of dollars over the last four years or so, hell I just spent like $35 to get 3 of the new skins from Wednesday. This goes live? I'll immediately uninstall and not look back.
-
Was.* Apparently reading the entire post instead of the first few words is too difficult for some.
-
Certainly. Lightborn, Corrupt Intervention, Jolt, Deadlock. For add-ons, I just use a pair of browns. The one for shorter activation cooldown and the one that makes trapped survivors break pallets when vaulting. Not at the computer, so don't have the names handy. I pick a 3-gen and set drones, but I don't camp them. Just…
-
I can tell you what I believe it is. I ran into a bug with him on patch day. First nightfall he became completely invisible after teleporting to a locker. Was looking right in the direction of the sound, it got so loud he had to be standing on me. I let go of the totem I was booning and whap, hit by a killer I still could…
-
I'm all for just deleting Dead Hard from the game entirely, really.
-
Those games are so incredibly rare that it's laughable. If they're that coordinated, then so be it. Guess what? You aren't supposed to win every game. If you have had a string of luck where your MMR goes to a point where you aren't skilled enough to handle these teams... well that's what being boosted means. Even with…
-
I have played survivor almost exclusively for years. Killer is significantly more fun and easier than ever. I'm maining Skull Merchant now and am having a blast. But hey, you feel better after getting that rant out?
-
I think you're referring to the Legion.
-
Or, you know, because most people prefer to look at attractive people and not hideous ones?
-
I end up playing gen jockey most of the time when I queue survivor. Typically with 3+ gens done myself if I don't spend all game being chased. It feels painfully rare to see others on gens. -.-
-
And how many skins do we have now with topless guys and ripped muscles? I think you can handle one scantily clad female in the see of GD beefcakes.
-
All the HUD does at lower MMR is remind you that your teammates aren't doing anything 80% of the time.
