Matchmaking is borked at all ranks, I've decided to give this update a pass. Rank 12 killer and have had only 2 games in 2 days that weren't entirely red ranks, and every single match at least one rank 1. I'm an average player on a good day, can't be fun for the survivors either

Playing low rank survivor does not equate to playing against purple rank as a new killer. I'm currently green rank killer and have yet to have a game in the last two days where I don't have at least one rank 1 and have had only 2 games where there were ranks other than red, both of those games also had rank 1 present.

Having a decent level killer doesn't even the skill gap. Rank 19 is essentially a new killer and they should be matched against people of similar skill. I know if when i started and matchmaking was this borked I would have just deleted the game and moved on.

Took this at the start of the night, thinking it was just a one off event. I'm now back to rank 12 and still getting matches like this endlessly. I have played against exactly 2 green ranks (with 2 red) and 2 purple ranks (with 2 red) in the last 5 hours, every other single match has been high rank reds. Always at least…

Can't dodge when it's every game, at this point I'm getting pity kills from people recognising me after stomping me earlier.

I'm not ranked highly but enjoy playing trapper, best tip I could offer is trapping pallets/windows can be good (but obvious) often trapping where the survivor goes next after interacting with them like nearby corners is better.

Yeah if you manage to get to green ranks it gets worse.I have had at least one rank 1 survivor every match tonight, most matches is two rank 1 and then a mix between 2-4. I'm rank 12, I can't imagine it's fun for them either given the obvious skill difference.

With regards to the toxic messages I would think you are in the minority, I don't know anybody personally who enjoys having profanity and abuse directed at them without provocation. You can ignore it or spin it but it's still unpleasant behaviour that nobody should have to endure.

Not everybody is equally skilled, or has invested as much time in the game. Ranking should allow people of comparable skill to have a game which is not weighted too heavily in favor of either side. It is not fun playing against coordinated teams that outrank you. It just isn't.

So is it a known issue, they are intending to address? I'm rank 9 currently and my last two games were 3 rank 1's and a rank 2, I managed one kill in both...pretty sure the last game the kill was granted out of pity.

Yeah I feel your pain, I'm an average player at best. EVERY game at least one rank 1 player, but all red and purple as soon as I hit rank 12. Not fun having to sweat for one kill.
