The gif doesn't play for me, Chuppar. I believe I know the bug you've experienced, though. The bug is a +300 Deviousness score event which reads: SCORE_K20_FORCEDPENANCEPROTECTIONHIT It appears the issue lies with the perk rather than the particular Killer. Screenshots below.

Just wait until you and phase backwards, haha. You get the hair AND the crown. At least the physics engine is on point. : )

To expand upon this--at least on my client--the default mask is also shown in place of the Best New Trapper Mask, identical to OP's screenshot above.
