I like farming, but I had a couple of gen rift challenges.
-
I had a killer get mad at me once, because I didn't know he was trying to give me the hatch. He'd pick me up, I'd struggle and get off. He'd down me again and I'd struggle and get off. This happened multiple times and then he hooked me. He called me filthy names in the end game chat, because I struggled. I was new to the…

Yes, it's fine.
-
What's your Twitch name? I'll check it out.
-
I'm really enjoying this thread and seeing that there are other older players. :)
-
Yep, that's true & I sort of feel the same. Just slower reflexes maybe. :)
-
How old are you?
-
I'm 53 and I've had people say such terrible things in the endgame chat. It doesn't happen often, but when it does, I wonder if they'd talk to their mom or grandma that way. You have a good point though... I should just realize that it's probably immaturity. Who knows. I got into this game because of my teenage son and his…

thanks.
-
How are they nerfing the keys?
-
I don't know, but it's certainly interesting. Hope I run into you. :)
-
Thanks!

As a survivor main, I don't really complain about noed. It's part of the game and it comes at the end. Since it's at the end, it doesn't really interfere with me enjoying the game. I hate it more when the killer takes me out of the game from the beginning and I haven't really had time to enjoy the game. I also don't like…
-
I wonder if this is hacking.
-
Oh, o.k. thanks.
-
Oh, o.k. Thanks guys! I feel silly. :)
-
Yes. Because when they implemented it before, I seemed to have games that lasted longer and were more chill. The survivors didn't gen rush and the killer didn't slug or tunnel. I really enjoyed it. :)
-
I figure it was either an accident, or they were having a bad game. It doesn't usually bother me. Only a couple of times, when the killer said they had to go and do something else. I wondered why they didn't just go afk instead, so I could still complete my challenge.
-
Yes, I understand that it's a hex. I may have just worded my reply wrong. I was just thinking up a different idea. Thanks.
-
I really hate getting blinded and for that reason, I'm in the process of getting lightborn on all of my killers.
-
You're very creative. I like the idea, other than someone being broken at the start. Maybe it could be a hex totem and the person to break the lit totem, becomes broken for a set time.
-
Many times, we are nowhere near a gen and they just run off. Sometimes, they're healing theirself and won't let you heal them and they won't heal you. Sometimes, you'll finish a gen and then they'll run off and won't heal you. The other day, I healed them and they ran off without healing me. So, I'll keep running my…
-
I bring self-care, because some survivors refuse to heal you. If they want to heal me, great! If not, then I've got my self-care.
-
When I put out a map offering, it's usually because I'm piling up too much of that map and I'm ready to burn it in an offering. Or maybe I want to practice that map for a while. I'm not sure why people read so much into the offerings. I always try to burn an offering. A lot of times, I'm not putting intensive thought into…
-
Your point here about the healing, reminds me of the challenge where you need to remain unhealed to get the skillcheck perk to work, I found that people were always wanting to heal me. And I didn't want to be rude, so I just started running no mither to finally get that challenge completed.
-
When people are friendly to me in the pre-game chat, it makes me want to try harder for them. I feel like I don't want to disappoint them for some reason. :)
-
Maybe it is skill, like GoodboyKaru says. I watch Ohmwrecker a lot and I've seen him get it to work multiple times. And he often goes against high rank killers.
-
I'll tell you why it's so annoying. What if you have a challenge where you have to completely use up a certain number of medkits, sabotage x number of hooks? That's what happened to me. It seems like Franklin's demise has gotten suddenly very popular and I've encountered a lot of killers using it. It sucks to load into a…
-
I miss it too, so I see where you're coming from.
-
Right now I'm running empathy, self-care & distortion. The extra slot, I've been running calm spirit or wake up. I never run meta perks, unless it's a challenge requirement. I don't know why.
-
Love this idea OP! If they would give us the choice between old version & new version, then I would definitely be playing the old version.
-
I've been enjoying this perk lately as well. I used my shards to get it from the Shrine of Secrets. A lot of times I forget where the doors are, so I find this perk super helpful. Plus I like that it speeds up the opening of the door.
-
I forgot about a few of the ones you mentioned. If they're acting bizarre in the pre-game lobby, then I might dodge. For example, readying and unreadying in rapid succession over and over. Or filling the chat box up with nonsense... those can be red flags for odd behavior in game.
-
I don't dodge lobbies too often, but when I do it's usually because they have a filthy username. I also might dodge if the other 3 survivors are identical. I think they might be a swf and likely won't be helpful. For example, many swfs will run to save their teammates, so I won't getting any saving points. Sometimes…

Interesting observations. I agree with most of your point of view. That's kind of how I feel about camping, tunneling and slugging. I just want to be able to play the game and when killers do that, it's really frustrating.
-
I wasn't the one that let him go to second phase. He was on his second hook. I prefer to be careful, because I don't like it when people rescue me in front of the killer. If they rescue me in front of the killer, then I'm likely going down again, because I'm not good at chases. So, I'll have to disagree with you.
-
I've had games like that. I had a game recently where I saved someone. I think he was on second hook. I go for the save slowly and carefully usually, because I'm not good at chases and I want to be sure the killer isn't around. So, I rescue this person, who was on his second hook. He didn't want to be healed. He…
-
I'm not a killer main, but I dodge the inappropriate names lobbies as well. They usually end up not being the most helpful teammates.
-
Um, she's hideous right there.
-
I learned it from Ohmwrecker. He thinks it means, come get me, so I just go with that.
-
Yay, I'm all for it. :)
-
Speaking of MMR, I really liked it when they had it enabled. I heard people complain about it, but that wasn't my experience. The games lasted a lot longer and seemed more chill. Thanks for the tip. :)
-
That it's easy to dodge and loop the killer. I've been playing for a couple years and I'm just not good at it. I'm older though, in my 50s, so that's my excuse. My teenagers got me into the game a couple years ago. The yellow glyph skill checks... couldn't do it, so I gave up on it. Maybe I have a slower reaction time. Who…
-
Oh yeah, o.k.
-
What does IW stand for? I know the others.
-
Another thought... load up unbreakable, if possible, when burning your cakes. That can be your safety, in case it turns into a slugfest.
-
You can't fix stupid. I'm talking about the killer in this case.
-
I agree with you on the pigtail look. I think the new one looks much better. The one you like now on Kate, is the one I was talking about. Someone posted a picture here: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2399197#Comment_2399197 I really liked the old one. Oh well. Not as big a deal to me though, as…

I feel the complete opposite. I have too many add ons, that I am always trying to use up.
