It happens to me from time to time.

I'm also experiencing this same bug. I think it's somehow related to what build slot are you using on survivor, because one time that happened to me, when I got to play normal survivor, I had slot 3 selected for the build, and I don't use that slot and (has no perks also). I never play without perks so I doubt I manually…

Can confirm that the progress in this challenge only advances if you don't have saboteur equipped. For whatever reason if you have the perk equipped, it won't count no matter if you break the hook with a toolbox or without.

Today I again tested this challenge. It just doesn't work. I sabotaged a hook while the killer was coming to it, it was so close that when I finally broken the hook the killer had time to hit me, so clearly less than 10 meters.

Jake and Claudette The reason is I like cosmetics. So I wanted a character with the most amount of cosmetics possible, so no licensed characters for me. Also, I got this game on the week of release, so there's something of a "I know you all my life" feeling there.

Same, I don't even have the Xenomorph yet.

I have the exact same problem. I got two iridescent emblems, but the challenge didn't complete. Screenshot attached. The challenge is in Tome II, page 3, the last survivor one before the epilogue.
