This. I remember reading this a long time ago and it was in regards to maps tracking hatch. The SPAWN LOCATION is predetermined at the start of the mach by "random" but isn't visible until conditions are met. If you pass this spot, a map which can track the hatch will mark it even though it's not yet visible.

Agreed, except for the implication that it is normal to get used to the horror element. There are ways to make it legitimately terrifying to be a survivor regularly.... Problem is the things that are scary right now become unscary once you play a bit.

Very true... Cosmetics is only a good thing, I think my major hangup is the push for constant new chapters all the time when what came before it is far from optimized. If it got to the point of being legitimately competitive, they wouldn't have to crank out new boring chapters. Just a thought.
