It's perfectly fine as is. It helps discourage camping and has a lot of counters: detective's hunch, it being a hex perk, etc.

The amount of involuntary DCs is ridiculous in this patch, not to mention how many players can't even load into a match, and on the contrary a lot of people seem to be more interested in complaining about disconnected players and discussing ways to ban them while they don't even bother to tell the difference between a rage…

In one of the post linked, a dev says they are looking into the issue. Hopefully it will be fixed after the mid-chapter update.
