I'm not talking about when I'm playing with a genius like you. I'm talking about when I'm playing with idiots. :D
-
whoa!! thanks!
-
How do you get tile names?
-
Not to derail the topic, but what goal would you prefer instead of gens?
-
-
There's currently a bug where two basements spawn on Lery's, one out of bounds. I bet the salt circle is in the other basement. EDIT: looks like the two basements bug has been fixed (I can no longer see the aura of the hooks in the other basement when I'm carrying someone, and I couldn't see any lockers there as Dredge),…
-
You read it right. The more survivors join the faster it goes, even if they don't have the perk equipped.
-
Great point about doubling back and running through the shots, since the hindered effect for doing so is negligible.
-
I want to go on record as the first person to dub pressing the power button to delay releasing a hallucination "clenching".
-
Absolutely. Wicked, deliverance, and plot twist all need some kind of "wink" icon to let the other solo survivors know that you're actually ok and don't need their help, and it would be better if they lead the killer away from you.
-
Yeah, those killers are great for countering it, but all the other killers are left out to dry.
-
if the basement doesn't spawn in the basement (basement basement) then it's immediately game over for the killer, especially if any survivors bring no mither.
-
after 8 years and over 1000 hours, I still ALWAYS get lost in the bottom of the main building. 🤣 the four sides look too similar, and I can never find the exits.
-
main building is very strong for survivors, and also hinders map traversal since it's right in the middle.
-
I'm surprised the votes on this one are leaning so heavily toward Survivor-sided; this is one of the maps that as soon as it loads in I mentally say "gg" and almost always get a 4k.
-
I recently got wrecked as Myers on this map because there are a bunch of REALLY strong loops in the camp and his anti-loop is weak.
-
same. Steam.
-
same way I did before snowballs; just wander around the map until one of them makes a mistake and I find them. This took like 10 minutes one time. Often one of them will just come to me to be sacked to end the game, or will come out and guide me to the other one. Neither situation feels good; especially not as good as a…

The next match the challenge worked fine and I completed it. Weird that it was just "off" for one match.
-
"OK, I'm gonna take everything said on this forum thread to heart, and stop hook suiciding" *3 matches in a row of being left on the hook through at least one entire phase* :(
-
because this is an example of just one of a zillion reasons people hook suicide, and we're trying to discuss a good alternative that makes the game less awful for everyone else when that happens.
-
lol, I've actually been running exactly that! Maybe today I'll finally get it...
-
Great discussion! At this point I'm honestly liking the suggestion of getting rid of hook suicide completely. This would mean getting rid of struggle, but really, with a 4% chance of unhooking yourself, struggle is really only good for suicide (and arm flapping, but maybe something like that could be left in even if…
-
in stone cold honestly, this is a terrible thing to make a tome challenge. you're not only rewarding the worst people, you're making other survivors throw matches again and again in a vain attempt to get it. in the future, when you think up a tome challenge, ask yourself "is this only possible in survivor-with-chat?" and…
-
yes, but you're forgetting that trapper moves fast, while hag moves like your grandma. if she gets notified of a wipe on the other side of the map, there's 3 gens done by the time she ambles over there.
-
Roko's Survivorbot
-
yeah, I've felt this way for a long time, but i'm happy the devs decided NOT to go with the version that was tested. I specifically wish that moris were based on how much a survivor aggravates the killer; e.g. chasing a survivor raises your "mori meter" with THAT specific survivor, and if they stun you it raises it more.…
-
what would be the benefit of that? keeping players from DCing during load? I haven't seen that happen for a long long time. although hiding blueprint offerings from the other team might be interesting...
-
I suspect this is actually the real answer; when the metric of success for survivors is escaping, then the bots trained on that metric are going to prioritize escaping at the expense of their human teammates. All the more reason to treat "playing well" (doing gens, healing teammates, unhooks) as a "win" rather than just…
-
I just experienced the same thing from the other side; I had one hook and one slug and one kill, and the bot wouldn't help either one. So after the hook died, I shook the slug until he healed and then he helped me hunt down the bot. And then he ran all over the map doing green glyphs, and then I let him escape, so I felt…
-
that, actually, would be totally fine. I was gonna say you could get into a stalemate where survivors didn't do anything, but unhooking each other would be conspicuous action.
-
that's tunnelling killer talk! 😂
-
that part was a joke.
-
I don't understand how scamper is supposed to work as an anti-loop; when they vault and I scamper, they're halfway around the loop again before I'm done scampering.
-
yes, looking at it more his camera is definitely much lower and closer to him. Why did they change this?? Having a 3rd person view was part of what made him good.
-
and I got it. As with all things in life, I just had to complain for it to work. :D
-
I focus on where everyone is when the box spawns to predict the area. Then all I have to do is wait around that area and I will not be too far from smacking it out if the survivors hands. Sure, big maps make that harder, but some of the extremes like Mothers dwelling should vanish in the next update. wait, it ALWAYS spawns…
-
no other killer disintegrates so completely against SWF
-
my point is that us "nice" killers balance out the toxic ones. If we were ALL playing toxic, then something would get done about it.
-
this is actually a fantastic idea! you could just put entity claws around the safe survivor when he gets downed, to show the killer (and other survivors) that he can't be picked up.
-
Then replace my "pop ups" suggestion with a tab that shows you your results from the last 10 matches, and put the title there.
-
funny, but I'm specifically only including celebrations for positive things; not "Hid In a Locker The Whole Match" or "Got the Most Head Crows". 😂
-
It was. Chucky and Alien were the last two licensed characters for this year. The rest will be original. I think that applies to the remaining Solo survivor as well.
-
yeah, like many challenges, doing the challenge is going to take you away from optimally playing the match. with this one, you've gotta chase it around, and then when you catch it you can interact with it to complete the task. just hope that all the survivors are working on glyph challenges at the same time and not…
-
I didn't even know that was a thing, although I almost exclusively play Freddy with pallets instead. If they made walls block Shock Therapy, however, THEN there would be words!!
-
Elvira's gonna be in a killer + survivor combo: Survivor Elvira and Killer Vampira. 😁
-
I would absolutely pay real money for HBC's "A Room With a View" outfit.
-
I suspect this release will actually be an original character since the last 2 releases were licensed. But if there were another licensed survivor without a corresponding killer, who would it be? Maybe Jesse Faden from Control? Or Alan Wake?
-
Honestly I'd love it to be Jamie Lee Curtis (who plays a ton of video games), but that would be weird with Laurie Strode also being in the game as a separate character.
-
You called it, Team Chucky! Congrats! 🎉🎉🎉
