I agree but OP stated he needs to downgrade in order to have fun. I don't think a rank 11 or above would say that so i think he is red ranks himself so again matchmaking is not at fault in this debate. In others it sure is

Now if he is rank 11 and still thinks he needs to downgrade to not get red ranks then i have nothing else to say.

If you can't handle a red ranked survivor team then maybe you are not meant to be in the ranks you are! i play multiple red rank teams everyday some i loose some i draw some i win. but to suggest that every game is a festival that just means you are not as skill based as the survivors you are facing.
