I am with this person, honestly without more context to what killers, what perks, what maps, and what areas its really hard to pin down what is going on. Plenty of things give away survivor locations even without aura's, an experienced killer can use whispers to triangulate where you are, legion frenzy, a lot of killers…

If they were above you within reasonable distance they also could have heard the locker door open/close because regardless of dashing in or not a killer listening can still hear it even if they dont get the noise indicator.

I actually had to explain to a group today that Legion in frenzy shows you exactly where they are by the heartbeat even inside lockers, if I see the heartbeat even if my frenzy runs out I tend to head to the lockers nearby if they mysteriously vanish from the area since survivors rarely like to abandon their gens.
