Yeah, let's fix that! Oh, wait.. it is already.
-
I know, I played the game back then. But there were and still are problems with that. Rank resets happen to often. For other games they usually happen twice a year (or not at all), but in DBD each month the playerbase gets completely mixed, which is not good. It was too inflexible. It never accounted for a rank survivors…

It's 80/20 rule[1]. Devs might try to account for all possible situations, e.g. reward survivors for long chases according to how they were downed (NOED, chainsaw, M1, etc.), how many pallets there were on the map during the chase, how many gens got completed. But it's almost impossible to do it right. But if it were…
-
No, it shouldn't. There are good players with low level and awfully bad players with high level. Also it allows for smurfscumming, which is never good.
-
Learn how to play Pig then. https://www.twitch.tv/scorpionz
-
So now we need to somehow raise awareness of the problem. Any idea how to do that? :D
-
I do completely agree with that. And I wish this issue were raised more often instead of things like Ruin or similar stuff. If you don't mind there is a discussion from this comment on we had about it: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1023567/#Comment_1023567

No, it's not. :p https://steamcharts.com/app/381210#All

My build is somewhat controversial but you may want to try it anyway. Agitation. Free hits, fast hooks, allows to keep the game on the side of the map you want it to be. Infectious Fright. Yes, terror radius is small, but it's even better, you might get free hits if there is a survivor close to you. Which is essential to…

Yes, I don't think there are polished ranking systems for asymmetrical games, as there are for other multiplayer games (ELO as an example). But AFAIK devs never tried to implement one. (Introducing Emblems is definitely a step in the right direction, but it's not enough). Also rank resets are annoying - in other…

As I said I do agree that there is a problem with matchmaking, even though it's really strange - there are at least 20k players playing this game right now, and it takes only 5 people to start a game, but it's really hard to find it on both low and high level ranks. Maybe it's because region searches are too restrictive,…

Before DBD I used to play in Quake Live quite a lot. There wasn't any meaningful rank system whatsoever (if you play only pubs of course), at first experienced players annihilated me with scores close to 40/0 or something (yes, they killed me 40 times without dying even once), but after a while I learned how to play the…

No one is insulting you. If you are a bad at the game it doesn't mean you a bad as a person or something. What kind of an answer did you expect? *Oh, year, sure, the game is broken I can't kill a single survivor. Why devs have been nerfing killers for more than 5 years now? Hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate* Was it…
-
I can use my own experience too, but I can't illustrate it as easily as showing Morf's games - he is terrible at playing killer, and still he wins every single game. Enough of a proof for me.
-
Yes, I see how you try to find the issues in the game and try to convince everyone that they are here and need to be addressed. But you could have tried to learn how to play around them instead. There will always be issues, whether it's DBD or not, you can complain about them too, or you can simply learn how to work around…
-
Imagine you were playing any other competitive game, sucking in it and complaining the same way you do right now. Yes, you aren't allowed to have fun games if you don't try to even learn how to play it. What's wrong with it?
-
If you were trying you would have improved. When I had 600 hours I had no problems whatsoever, even though survivors back then were way more stronger than they are right now.
-
Then git gud? What else can I say, lots of killers (me included) don't have the problems you have, instead of complaining about the game here, you could have played a couple of games or watched how other people do it.
-
How do you mean?
-
I watched Morf's stream yesterday. Just see how often he errs, and still there wasn't a single game he didn't at least 2k. Kinda disproves your claim. https://www.twitch.tv/morf_uk
-
There aren't that many good survivors to bully you, really. All you need to do is to learn how to quickly locate survivors (Whispers), how to not waste time in jungle gyms (takes trial and error) and how to put pressure on maps (choose 3 gens with as less windows as possible, it doesn't take long to learn).
-
I have more than 1500 hours, have a nice day. If you have lots of healthy chases and manage to kill only 2 (even though I usually 4k) you almost always get a pip.
-
To win you only need 2 kills, what a mentality.
-
You only need to know the basics to enjoy the game on both sides, really. Here I wrote my arguments for survivors a while ago:
-
You need to be good in other games to enjoy them, just saying. You may like this one though: https://store.steampowered.com/app/363970/Clicker_Heroes/
-
I also only play Huntress, most of the maps are fine but I feel quite miserable on all closed maps. I never had problems on maps you mentioned.
-
You'll just get bored and go to school, works fine for me.
-
Time increase still gives other 2 survivors a lot of time to do something useful (all gens).
-
There is actually not that difficult a change to get rid of all of this. Making an icon of hooked survivor glow red if a killer is in the vicinity of a hook for more than, say, 5 seconds, coupled with twofold increase of the time it takes to die on a hook will make you all go away (literally, from a hook).
-
You also forgot heal increase (coupled with Sloppy), bloodlust and fast vault mechanics. And the number of pallets was not even halved. No more than a third of what was on maps still remains. I'm not saying that most of those nerfs weren't necessary (heal time increases were though, it's so boring against Sloppy), but so…

That only proves that you wasn't here when BNP and Sabo were a thing. You know that machinegun build didn't care how faster gens were done, if you could hook somebody in the basement it was pretty much gg for survivors. Same goes for sabo - you could pretty much slug everyone, plus almost everyone had Iron Grasp so it was…
