I also did not receive the totem badge, however strangely enough I did receive the crimson hue banner after redeeming it for watching for 4 hours. I was afraid this was because I went to the PTB before the main game after redeeming the badge, but if this is happening to others, then maybe it's not that.

Just attempted this today. 5 gens remaining, let the last survivor get hatch since it was such a wash. Clearly the exit gates did not open, but the challenge did not complete.
