How about making it that you can sort of "remake" broken pallets with new ones, but it has 60 seconds of cooldown and you only have 2 or 3 tokens per match and you can't gain any. How about making the first two skill checks guaranteed but with a smaller zone like DS or BNP, or one guaranteed skill check / heal? If you fail them you are back to praying to the RNG gods.
