I still find my plot twist idea better. By default your aura is hidden, but if you feel like the other survivors should be aware of your location, you can do it with a press of a button.1 -

Especially if you get downed at the gates, either because the killer was too close or you were trying to rub your victory in and lost distance. Heal "tech" really shouldn't be a thing …2
