I think it's still not useless. For example: Killer leaves hook, team is on the other site of the map. I can save them time/let them do gens if I unhook myself.1 -

At the moment, the "dedicated server not responding" disconnect happens often. So maybe most times when you think it's a ragequit, it might be just a disconnect.11 -
